Still Hilarious. This was one of my favorite books as a child, and it is still holds up: a clever, creative lampoon of irrational fears, ineffective precautions, and ridiculous denials. Plus, Eric Jacobson is spot-on as Grover in the read-along performance. I hardly ever write reviews but wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this book to anyone. It is a true gem.

The Monster at the end of this Book. I find this book ( or is it an Audio-book ?) THOROUGHLY enjoyable ! It is HYSTERICAL , at times. Grover is so funny, he puts me at ease. When I am feeling down, or sad, or some such ill-feeling, I just go to my book of “ The Monster at the end of this Book “ and suddenly, I feel so relaxed. And so much better, I may continue with my day in that relaxed state of being. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book to anyone AND EVERYONE ! It’s not only GREAT ! It’s FANTASTIC ! And ENJOYABLE FOR ALL AGES .
