Chasing Jillian. Pretty good but not fully developed...very strange that she never met his parents, especially after Mom was introduced and important in the beginning of he book.

A wonderful introduction to this series. I wanted low-angst, light reading – I’ve had a chunk of heavier angsty reads of late, and Chasing Jillian looked to be just what I needed. Jillian works in the front office of the Seattle Sharks: a bit shy and quiet, she wants to lose some weight, and uses the training facilities when no one will be around to tell her no, or to notice her. Determined to move forward from the issues she developed in foster care, she was easy to relate to and understand. Seth is a player on the team, and one of the many that never make headlines for off-field behavior. An all-around nice guy, he walks in on Jillian using the machines, and offers to help her achieve her goals. There’s little not to like about Seth: he’s friendly, honest and caring and while he is attracted to her, he won’t risk their growing friendship or her position with the team since relationships with players is forbidden. Tentative friendship begins as Seth takes the time to get to know Jillian, and she blossoms under this relationship. Both are attracted to one another, but it takes time for Jillian to understand that Seth sees beneath the walls and shell that she has put up. No real stress or angst here – just a solid construction of a relationship that grows as Jillian does, and couldn’t have been more perfect for the two involved. A wonderful introduction to this series – it stands perfectly well alone, but entices readers to want to know more. I know I do. Scared to try. Jillian Miller and Seth Taylor become friends when he is drafted to play with the Sharks team that she works for. She is assistant to the owner. The owner tells her that men in football are a bad bet. So she already has lack of trust in relationships going in. Jillian and Seth do just about everything together and enjoy being friends. Seth loves hanging out with her and texting her makes him laugh. Jillian confronts her boss and lets him know she is enjoying a relationship with his player and he can fire her if he must. Seth and Jillian are happy together until one amazing night spoils it all. Now she is trying to back away from him as fast as she can. He just wants to see where they can go if she will let them. He is as vulnerable as she is when it comes to permanent. It is new for bother of them. Their feelings are real and it is time to own up to what they have going on between them. Many of his teammates are in relationships, or married, and encourage him to man up and pop the question already! Such a great book with all your favorites from the Love and Football series.
