Not all bad.... I don't often write reviews but this book really needs it. I wanted to live the plot. The story-line was interesting; however, the characters lacked depth. I was left to assume details that may have seemed obvious but left the story thin. I wish the details had fleshed out the character's feelings and personalities a bit more. I usually find the opposite problem: a lot of details and poor story-line. Either way it makes for a poor book. On a good note: the editing was excellent.

Sweet!. When Harper Kirkpatrick arrives for a party at the home of Cameron Bennett she knows she's in the wrong place at the wrong time but one disastrous night doesn't stop her from returning the next day to interview for a job she desperately needs to pay her bills. Cameron is a wealthy and successful man who would gladly give all of his wealth away if he could help his daughter. Because Harper comes from a very large family she's convinced she can be Bella's nanny because she's not intimidated by Bella, or her eating condition. This is a really sweet romance between a sexy southern gentleman, a sassy northern beauty and an adorable young child that's guaranteed to melt your heart.

Sweet Story. I love this book .. Great story that keeps you entertained & your imagination going.

Good book. I really liked the book but I just wish there was more of an ending

Sweet and enjoyable novel.... Barbara Lohr's first novel in the Windy City Chronicles is wonderful and heartwarming. Harper is a great character. So fun loving and easy going she is just trying to pay her rent and eventually move toward finding a job in her field of study as a fashion and interior designer. After several terrible jobs that get her nowhere she lands a job as a nanny to a four year old girl with many issues and a relatively non-existent father. The story of Harper, Bella and Cameron is extremely enjoyable, often funny, serious, and full of spunk and spark. A definite must read. I was given a copy of this novel for an honest review.

Finding Southern Comfort. Author: Barbara Lohr Interesting book had to read it till I finished completely. She made the characters interesting. Was an easy read. Leaves you wanting to find out more.

Too abrupt. Nice love story with just as nice character development; however, ending was too abrupt.

Sweet story. The story was slow to get moving which may be more of the Southern lifestyle of which I am unfamiliar. The storyline involved family stresses and hurts along with a maturing love which was lovely.

Don't waste your time. Quit reading after only couple chapters. Horribly written. Dialogue between characters was stilted and hard to follow.

Loved to hate it.. I loved the book and the incredibly unique story line. It was very well written and had good editing. On the other hand, it took a very long time and a lot of build up to actually get to the romance. Then once you got to the good stuff it ends so quickly. I wish there was more to it because I loved it so much! Also, even though there wasn't much romance, I did enjoy the development of the relationship between Harper and Bella. This is why I kept reading and it was well worth it once the romance began.

Potentially good. Good story line but it never really picked up. As soon as it could, it stopped abruptly. Has a lot of potential to be great.

Fantastic.. At first I was a bit hesitant about reading this book, yet I still did. Turned out to be amazing!

An 'OK' Read. First I must say that I loved the idea for this book and thought it had potential, but it fell a bit flat. I was cheering for this couple at first, but my excitement was lost in the execution of the details. I felt as if I was being 'told' the story rather than 'shown'. I had to re-read sections to understand what happened and some parts were emphasizes as a huge plot point only to be skipped over in resolution leaving me feeling less than satisfied. The timelines were scattered creating plot holes and causing a lot of confusion. The sexual tension played on way too long, coming to climax only 25 pages from the end of the book. That left 24 pages of resolution to close out the story line and it was more than abrupt as more issues arose before the final 'The End'. With a bit more character/story development and editing, this would be a satisfying beach read.

Happy little story with a sweet twist. Really enjoyed this book. Easy read and very fun. The characters made me want to know them while the story kept me coming back. A bit predictable but a good little happy love story!

Southern Comfort. I thought the story line was good, but didn't appreciate the graphic content. I would rather be led to the idea and not given every little detail. The story could have been so much better with less graphic description. I will not read any more of her books nor recommend them.

Best book I have read in a long time. This is the best book I have read in years. To be honest I downloaded it by mistake. A mistake I intend to make every time a new one comes out. I loved the characters from the get go. I cried when Bella wanted the candy floss.

Loved it. What a lovely story. Good storyline filled with memorable characters. A bit of drama but filled with romance. Absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

Really Ggod. I really enjoyed this book. My only complaint is the end. It gets really boring and then seem really rushed. Other than that though, the book was written very well.

Finding southern comfort. I thought your dialogue was way off. Unrealistic. Nobody would talk that way at times. The changing from 'him' to 'her' was not fluid and, I found confusing. However, I did like Cameron and Bella. Certain parts did bring tears of emotion. It was an overall good story, with some editing could be really good.
