Stunning. This book is one of my all time favorites! The storyline is unique and the characters are amazing! I read it in one sitting because I simply could NOT put it down. It is the story of two people trying to find their way out of grief and learn to love again. There's also hot hockey players, too!

Emotional and lovely. I really enjoyed reading this book. I read it straight thru. Both of the main characters were going through the grieving process but were in different places along that path. The book sounded sincere which is actually rare to find. I am definitely recommending this book to all my friends!

Bound. I loved this book. I read it in a few hours and couldn't put it down. I don't normally buy books. I wait Til they are free on iBooks but not the next one I am downloading it now. I can't wait to read the continued story. Keep it up!

Bound. The book was all right. It dragged in a lot of places. It didn’t hold my interest very long. I tried looking up the next book in the series and they wanted $13 for it! No way would I buy the next book. This one wasn’t that great!

Hockey in real life. Sweet read. Ups and downs of each character working through their own personal grief while still trying to live life as best they can.

Great read!!. Loved this book! It was really emotional at times but wasn't too heavy. The connection between the characters was so perfect. I really enjoyed this; it's a must read.

Emotional and heart warming. This book does a great job conveying the difficulty of recovering from grief and moving on with your life. Dealing with the various complications that loss causes especially while trying to establish new relationships brings about a number of issues for Kate and Ryke. The author does a great job of building the romance while also being sensitive to backgrounds. The losses that each of them suffered are dealt with sensitively and not just as fodder for drama. There are points where I found myself getting really impatient with Kate and then forced myself to think about why I was having that reaction. As someone who had a similar loss I had to realize not everyone processes grief and loss the same way and I think that self reflection is a great way that this author was able to touch me as a reader. I immediately bought the box set as soon as I finished reading this first book so I guess that's a highly recommend!

A Whole New Level Of Good. This was a story set on a personal level I’ve yet to find wholly within any book I’ve read to date. As a bestie to a few ladies that have been through what Kate has been through, it took me back to all the times I’ve been by their side when this tragedy has struck. I’m am so glad that the HEA in this story matched a genuine goodness that any woman, who has been through the unbearable heartache behind Kate’s character, deserves! Looking forward to the next chapter of this series!!❤️

Amazing!. I loved this book it had me feeling all the feels!!

Pretty good. Kate's indecision became a bit much about two thirds into the book...a decent read and Ryke was a very likable character.

Emotional. 5 star Review Bound (Fire on Ice #1) by Brenda Rothert This was my first read from Brenda Rothert and what an emotional roller coaster of a read did I chose to start with. It was heartbreaking, sad, uplifting and hopeful all at the same time. Simply put I was on the edge of my seat throughout my read of this book. Bound got to me on so many levels emotionally, I still feel as though I am reeling at times. The chemistry between Kate and Jason aka Ryke was exceptional. This book was all about finding yourself after tragedy, of learning to trust and believe in love and having the courage to take that leap of faith back into life. Bound is a beautifully written story with characters that were easy to relate too. I fell in love with Kate and Ryke, they touched my heart and gave me hope that their future would be better than their past as they came together and found love. I want a Ryke in my life! I am both excited and nervous for the nextt book in this series.

Why did I wait so long to read this book. Brenda Rothert is fast becoming one of my go to authors and I don't know why it's taken me this long to read Bound the first book in the Fire and Ice Series. This is a love story that starts with heartache when grief brings two people together, it has it all sadness,second chance romance, happiness and finally closure. When you lose the love of your life how long do you grief for when is it time to move on ........ Kate is a happy go lucky college student when she finds herself pregnant but when she finally excepts she is going to be a mum tragedy strikes and at 17 weeks pregnant she loses her daughter. Ryker has it all a beautiful wife and promising NHL career, that was until a drunk driver took his wife from him in a car accident. His life is turned upside down until he meets Kate at a bereavement help group. There is no doubting the chemistry between Kate and Ryker but is he ready to move on and will she truly believe she is worthy of love ...... This book made me smile and it made me cry and now I need to read book two to find out where life is going to take this couple. Brilliant read
