Try me. It's extremely rare that I can sit and read a book in a day regardless of its length. Sidelined was one of these books. I honestly don't know where Emma finds these 5 star, outstanding books from but may she long continue. Sidelined is the second book in the By His Game series and can be read as a standalone. We do meet Jack and Macey in Blindsided and already knew they had chemistry. But, my goodness, I'm surprised the heat coming off of these two characters didn't set my Kindle on fire! Macey and Jack are perfect for one another but are so jaded by previous relationship experiences that they are blind to it. Their friends all see it, their families see it. I wanted to bang their heads together! Around and around (and in and out of bed) they go! Saying they're friends with extremely good benefits (I mean, who doesn't want a go with Jack Carr once they've read this book?) yet not allowing anyone else in. Not liking anyone else being shown attention. Until Jack throws Macey back to her ex. The one who broke her heart but also owned it for so long. Torn, confused, angry and indecisive as all hell, Macey takes Jack's stupid advice and weighs out all of her options. Does she make the right choice? With her arranging to meet with both in different locations at the same time who will be the victor? The man who knows her mind or the man who knows her body? "Try me." A huge well done to Emma Hart, another cracking book with a sassy heroine and a huge alpha male who when together become explosive and fun to read about! 5 fully deserved and earned stars.

The Viper boys are in a league of their own ;). If you thought Corey Jackson was something else...then wait until you meet Jack Carr! Jack and Macey have quickly become one of my favourite fictional couples to date, they have this amazing chemistry and seem to just bounce off of each other. Macey's threats are legendary and she had me in pools of laughter more than once! combine that, with Jack's cocky comebacks, and you have the stuff of dreams! Jack and Macey's story is a rocky one that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat, biting your lip until the very end. The unpredictability of how they were going to react to each other and the situations they faced made for a thrilling and compelling journey. The addition of Mitch, Macey's ex-boyfriend, threw another spanner in the works of their relationship and I loved the side of Jack it brought out. All the characters started out strong in 'Blindsided' and the traits that I fell in love with have been well and truly carried through into 'Sidelined'. Emma is the literary master of character progression! she has managed to do a phenomenal job of continuing their journey whilst staying true to the original personality traits that we knew and loved. I'm now waiting with bated breath to see if Hart can pull off a hat trick and raise the bar once again with Reid in 'Intercepted', I'm sure that he will live up to, and maybe even surpass, his teammates! Another knockout of a book Emma, thank you!

Wow.... Steamy, sexy and real... Loved it!

Surprisingly disappointed. I am a hardcore Emma Hart fan so when I saw this book for 99 cents I thought why not! The story started out awesome just like all Emma's books but then it was tequila tequila tequila every couple of pages because Macey was down and drinking tequila kind of got boring quick! Jack was an awesome alpha male and loved the chemistry between Macey and Jack but the whole oh I can't make up my mind game got boring very quick when she really didn't need to because Mitch was a tool, I don't know why that storyline made it into the book but oh well. The love triangle if you would call it that went on and on for a few hundred pages, I almost DNF this book but as it was an Emma Hart book I stuck through it. Of course there is a HEA and it is sweet.
