Mistake Creek. Rachel Amphlett. Nina O’BRIEN’S has returned to a small rural town in Central California to help her father sell his truck store. He has dementia. Later this turns out to be a lie.A storm hits the small town resulting in heavy flooding to many areas as well as a power failure. She is with a longtime friend named Ross who is helping her with last minute preparations before the storm. Hits. A man and a women on a motorcycle show up looking for shelter. A short time later their is a pounding on the door and there is a man bleeding from a knife wound. He is actually an undercover FBI agent investigating a drug operation in a farm nearby. In actuality a Bio terrorist lives there with his crew. They are planning to release an bacterial agent in San Francisco that will result in a tremendous loss of life. Non stop action from the first to last page!! A magnificent read!!

Mistake Creek. OMG - I am so exhausted! What a physically demanding day! What an emotional experience! What a satisfying end/beginning to the story, and What a great read!

Love this book!. I've read all of Rachel Amphlett's books so far and they just get better and better! This is really fast paced and you won't want to put it down - there's a chase scenario where my heart was racing from keeping up! Just brilliant - knowing Rachel's writing style I knew there would be a twist or two and I wasn't disappointed! I will never reveal a plot or storyline in a review - that would just ruin the fun that's waiting for you in Mistake Creek. I loved it so much I read it again a few weeks later!

Enthralling Thriller. I was getting withdrawal symptoms from Rachel's books, having enjoyed the Dan Taylor series. I found this, in tandem with "Before Nightfall" and must say Mistake Creek is a fast paced, thoroughly enjoyable thriller, this time viewed more from the civilian angle than previous books. The characters are great, the plot well researched and unfortunately, all too believable. Excellent thriller from one of my new favourite authors.
