Well worth my time. Well written with deep complex characters. (which is a hell of a lot more than I can say about "Aftermath" written by Chuck Wendig, which was probably the worst book I've ever read. F*** you, Chuck!) A good story that ties in with The Force Awakens movie (although only tangentially). Can't say I loved the ending, but I did love the book.

5 Stars!!. Fantastic writing, with a great love story and it is Star Wars, after all. Throw all those together and you get an wonderful, page-turning novel.

Fantastic book, great story. The YA label on this book initially turned me off to it, but I seen a number of really good reviews so I decided to check it out. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. It's one of the best Star Wars books I've read in a long time. It's up there with Dark Disciple for the best book in the new canon. It's definitely worth a read!

Very Enjoyable. Good story that add lots of color to the Star Wars universe.

Awesome. Don't let "young adult" throw you off. This is well written, faithful to the series, and enhances the original trilogy all while tossing in some nuggets for Episode VII. Just really enjoyable all the way around.

Excellent Novel. Don't let the young adult novel label lead you astray. This is one of the better Star Wars novels out there. The pacing is excellent and the tie ins with the original trilogy were outstanding. Great setup for the new movie. Highly recommended!

Surprisingly Impressive. The tag “young adult novel” can have a few negative connotations in today’s market, but since it was a new Star Wars novel connecting the original films with the Force Awakens, I felt compelle to give it a read. Not only was I surprised at how much of a page-turner this story turned out to be, but it added a lot of depth to the story of the original movies by giving a very human perspective from the villains’ side. The story centers on two lovers who are corrupted by the Empire, and whereas one overcomes the system, the other can’t break free owing to their own scrupples despite coming to hate the Empire. There are numerous cameos from classic Star Wars characters, but the the heart of the story is the two new main characters who thankfully are fully dimensional sympathetic people. The only downside I can think of is that the story is a tad… “fan ficy.” By that I mean it reads like a piece of fan fiction where these new characters just happen to be at the center of every huge event from the original films yet are never seen. The briskly paced story and highly enjoyable characters however elevate the book above mere fan fiction.

First Stars Wars Book I’ve Ever Read. I’m in awe of how good this book is. I’ve never read any Star Wars books because of how convoluted they are in the sense of this is Canon or not, and now Disney this and Disney that. I could not put this book down. To say it is elegantly written would be a crime. The characters are so well developed, and the emotion flies right off of the pages into the reader's psyche. It’s engrossing. Read this book rather, you are a Star Wars fan or not.

Simple. Simple story.

Fantastic. A simply amazing and incredible story. One of the best Star Wars novels I've read.

FABULOUS. This book was tremendous. Read it now.

Awesome Book. I would have to say that this is my favorite Star Wars novel and probably my favorite book, in general. Now I look forward to every book by Claudia Gray in this franchise.

Best StarWars since JarJar The Early Years!. Totally lovely work.

A great read for YA and not-so-young adults. I enjoyed reading this, although I wish the battles we are so used to seeing in the movies were fleshed out more. But that's the thing isn't it? This book is about Characters, not battles. I'm sad that it's over, hopefully sequels occur

Uhhhhh love it. When I saw this book I thought ok let’s give it a try then later I learned that it is a Romeo and Juliet book and I am not one for romance books but it is no ordinary romance book it is a Romeo and Juliette book but a genre that I love it is really good I love the ending I hope that Claudia gray makes a book 2 but if she doesn’t that’s cool

SOOO GOOOOOOOD!!!😃😀😁😆👍👍. I really liked it! I’ve loved Star Wars since I was 7. Wayyy better than I expected, not for young kids, it’s fine for teens (I think because that is when I read it). You can really feel the struggles of these characters. The characters were deep and had each their own beliefs and ideals, they had hard times but overcame them. So overall a great book. Totally recommend it...

Fun book, but not for young kids.. A really good book. If I had to describe Lost Stars, it's Star Wars crossed with Romeo & Juliet. Now I know that after the prequels, people have become hesitant about romance in Star Wars. Don't fret, this is more Leia/Han than Anakin/Padme as far as how the love story is written out. Now fair warning, there can be some "adult" situations in this novel as it pertains to their love. Nothing too risqué or R-rated, but definitely PG-13. Not the novel to introduce kids to. Even though this is a love story at its core, don't worry, cause the action is still there. Even some philosophical debates that could change how you view the Empire and Rebel Alliance. It's still Star Wars, just told from the perspective of the average joe living in the galaxy far far away, as opposed to the chosen on/hero. If you're a Star Wars fan (over the age of 16), pick this book up.

Great book. Excelent book it brings a whole new look at the star wars world by showing us that there's more to star wars than just the jedi!!!

Wow!. Masterpiece!

Lost star sss. Stupidest book a have ever read copyright try to write your own book next time

Amazing. This book was amazing, I loved the writing from the beginning to the end. It was nice to see the Star Wars universe unfold through someone else's eyes. This is a must read.

Amazing book. Definitely recommend if you are a Star Wars fan. The author gives great insight on both the Empire and the Rebellion points of view. Great book!!!

A compelling and entertaining read with a climactic ending. A great side story that occurs within the SW universe. Worth the read. Nicely paced. Great characters. Interesting plots. Climactic conclusion will leaving wishing the ride wasn’t over. Would recommend for Star Wars fans looking for more SW entertainment. Not sure I would recommend to someone unfamiliar with SW. 8/10 Would recommend to anyone looking to feed their SW addiction.

Star Wars, the Lost Stars. First off I loved this book. I am not an avid reader and I have never felt compelled to right a review before now. The main reason for this review is to offer my whole hearted support for this new cannon to be expanded upon. Claudia Gray does a superb job introducing and building Thayne Kyrell and Ciena Ree's characters. To me they are some of the more in depth characters of the entire franchise. I thoroughly enjoyed how the book interwove itself with the original trilogy timeline. Probably the only criticism I have of the book was the ending. I found myself feverishly looking for more pages to continue the story. I can't wait until their story is continued.

Absolute must read for any Star Wars fan!. I was blown away by this novel if for no other reason because it was a parallel story to the original trilogy (Ep 4-6). This story perfectly followed those events but from an entirely different perspective. It is a quick read and will fully take you back to those original feelings that make Star Wars so endearing.

It has something for everyone!. I made my girlfriend read it who isn't as much as a fan as I am and she loved it.. Mostly on the romance part of it but it proves it can be for anyone.....

Great book. It ties in with all of the original trilogy and leads up to the force awakens, great read

A Must-Read Star Wars Book!. Growing up on what has been deemed the "Legends" books, I was a bit nonplussed that I would have to start all over with new characters and an entire new history. But, this is an excellent read. It is certainly a Young Adult book: easy and fast to read. I liken it to the Harry Potter books, actually. You'll find yourself having a hard time putting the book down at times. The book has everything you'd expect a Star Wars book to have, except the Force. This book does a great job of beginning to set up "legends" mentioned in The Force Awakens. It also does a fantastic job of showing how corrupt the Empire really is. Friendship prevails in the end. A note for parents: If you're thinking of buying this for your young adults, be warned that it deals with some relationship things. Sex is talked about in this book, though not in any detail. More along the lines of it happened, I'll never see the person again, and I really love the person, but it can't happen again. There is also some minor swearing throughout the book. Neither takes away from the book, but if you're a parent that has a care about those things, be forewarned.

Lost Stars. Excellent. This is one of the best Star Wars books I've read. Tied in seamlessly with the movies and I loved the imperial perspective. It's a great read!

Wonderful read. As an original trilogy kid, the connections this story made to the Star Wars material I grew up with meant a lot. I loved how this book completed and added to the stories I already knew so well. This book is superbly written and I have hope that we'll see more like it in the future.

Great read for any Star Wars Fan. Probabaly one of the best Star Wars books I've read and I've read many over the years. As others have said, don't let the Young Adult badge fool you (I hesitated when I saw it myself), this is a really well written book with lots of complex details as well as a great duo of main characters. The picture it paints of society during some of the years during the Original Trilogy is excellent and while there is an obvious black/white conclusion when it comes to morals, the novel explores them through justifiable lenses of opposing sides. It helps that the romance is pretty great too and is very touching. The start is a little slow but the book is really engrossing and hard to put down after it reached a certain point. This is a fairly complex book but at the same time also fairly accessible to pretty much everyone. Also helps that the main characters are really well written. Also has a pretty good romance, better than anything I've seen in all the movies or the old "Legends" books to be honest. I have some issues about the last section but otherwise this book deserves full points for keeping up such a great level of writing, atmosphere and energy throughout most of it. I was already pumped up for Episode 7 before reading this, now I am really really excited.

Uh. Hhh

Fabulous Book. This is a great read and a must for anyone. The premise is really interesting and takes you on an epic journey......!!!! You'll love it.

An excellent tale for fans!. From start to finish, the story told here weaves in and out of the original film trilogy, referencing well know scenes from a different perspective. The core journey of Thane Kyrell and Cienna Ree is enjoyable, never becomes unbelievable and keeps you rooting for them throughout the pages. Overall an excellent tale for fans and holds a well deserved place in the new Star Wars 'canon'.

Awesome story.. Easily the best of the new canon stories and far superior to the much hyped 'Aftermath'. Well written, with sympathetic characters on both sides of the war. Also has a little post RotJ content, which was very good.

Amazing. I can happily finish this book and start it all over again without missing a beat one of my favourite books of all time so easy to read with the knowledge of the original trilogy interwoven into it really brings the story to life.

Absolutely Sensational. A phenomenal read. Must pick up for all Star Wars fans leading in to the Force Awakens. Enjoy the same events of the Original Trilogy from a different perspective. Excellent

Interesting. It's interesting the way the author weaves these new characters thought the Star Wars story we all know and love, and well worth a read, but I found on so many occasions that the writing tended to retread the same thoughts and anxieties of the main characters over and over and over again, which kept pulling me out of the story thinking 'not this again'. More action and less angst would have made this a more enjoyable read.

Enjoyable! Worth a read. Enjoyable book with a great story. Recommended if you're a Star Wars fan.

I have never read a greater book.. This book completely captures the feel and passion of Star Wars. I found myself smiling into the pages for hours on end. I would love to see the Author take on another Star Wars story. Thankyou so much for the experience. Best $10 I've ever spent. 10/10

Enders Game meets Starships Troopers... In a good way.. Great read, some cameos felt shoe horned in but overall worked well for plot development. Interesting new characters and subsequent arcs, space combat could've benefitted from some more depth and speed but as I said, a great read :)

Absolutely amazing. This was one of the BEST books I've read. The author has done a great job of capturing the characteristics of the characters. The storyline is absolutely sensational and I wish there was a part 2 (plz make part 2)
