Disappointed. I have thoroughly enjoyed almost every book... but this one was disappointment. I’ve always loved her twists and turns and the surprises near and at the end... but without ruining the story this one was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING!! I HATED the ending... it doesn’t wrap it up... it makes you think there’s a sequel, because surely there would be with an ending like this... but no thats not the case... you are just left hanging emptyingly.

Loved!!!!!. My Review: If I had to describe this book in three words I would say loved, loved and loved. This author has proven to me on many occasions on why she is in my top ten favorite authors list. I have read almost all of her books now and I have enjoyed every single one of them. If you love psychological thrillers then you will love this one. I want to start off by saying that this book really put the fear of god into me about having a stepparent involved in my child’s life. I personally had two wonderful stepparents but this book really made me think it could have went another way. Ok so I want to start off by saying how bad I felt for Maisie. Her parents split up and all of a sudden her father is dating someone else and she is devastated. I have to say that the author did a great job with showing how much it hurts when parents split up. She even brought back up emotions within me from when my parents split up and that over thirty years ago. Kudos to the author for that. Now let’s talk about that shocker of an ending. All I have to say is OMG!!!!! I couldn’t believe it. It was like a wild roller coaster ride I never wanted to get off from. There was so many twists and turns that it made my head spin. Just when I thought I knew what was going on BAM the author throws in another fork in the road. KL Slater as long as you promise to never stop writing books I will promise to keep reading them. Between the plot, characters and all the twists in this book it made it an easy and fast read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Don’t buy this book. This book is horrible!! It goes on and on and you just want to plot to get somewhere. Anywhere! It’s convoluted and completely uninteresting. It’s not suspenseful, it is boring. I have never left a bad review or stated that a book was horrible, but this book made me feel cheated out of my time and money.

Great read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I normally don’t write reviews but this book definitely deserves one. Absolutely brilliant!!! Had me glued and I couldn’t put it down. I definitely recommend!

Very disappointing. Kept waiting for the book to get better. Sadly I was disappointed and the end was very much a let down.

Closer. Crap disappointing ending

Pretty bad. The ending just appeared out of nowhere. A slow repetitive buildup just smashed to pieces. The whole thing was ridiculous.

Complete Anticlimax. At first the story was gripping, I couldn’t stop reading and some difficult issues were written into the story in a great way but I have never been so disappointed in an ending. It felt so rushed and completely unimaginative.

Closer. A little weak throughout - drawn-out, but an easy read if you don’t want to have to think too much for yourself.

Amazing. Couldn’t put this book down! Written so well and twists and turns when you least expect it!

Truly awful book!. I have read other books by this author which were ok. However, this book was truly terrible. The book dragged on but the ending was rushed and unimpressive. It was almost like the author had run out of time and thought when she came to the end of the book. Really disappointing.

All over the place. This book started as a promising read but then began to get confusing and I had to re read some parts to try to understand what was happening. It did have a surprise ending but very sudden. It also left me feeling sad when I finished it for all the wrong reasons.

Boring. I only finished this book because I paid for it. Filled with Mills and Boon tripe, constant carping about hair, makeup, clothes and figures, 10 y/o’s portrayed as much older and immature adults. Absolutely boring and filled with people who one would avoid in reality.
