Entertaining!. A good read...

Food the main character.. I was so bored with the main character thinking of food, describing food, eating food, looking for food, blaming food or lack of eating for her idiocy. This is of the most self centered characters ever. At the age of 60 she should have developed more mechanisms for her neurological issues. most people do. while unusual it is not uncommon and takes many forms. it does not cause the lack of foresight and planning of this pathetic character.

Fabulous author. Every book she writes is wonderful. She writes and depicts her characters so effortlessly you think you are with them in every scene. I love reading anything by this author, one of the best!

Unputdownable. I’m not quite halfway through and I had to stop to write a review. I read a lot, I’ve read other books by this author and a lot of mysteries, and Déjà Dead is one of the best in a while. I really can’t describe much—I want to encourage others to read without spoiling. My attention was caught from the get-go and no less that three times has my jaw dropped in surprise. I appreciate the author uses some French, minimal translation, without interrupting the flow of the novel. J’ai étudié a long time ago and don’t remember as much as I like.

Déjà Dead. Very enjoyable! Great writing, great characters, great setting. An American in Paris mystery. Claire is a 60 year old on holiday in Paris when her husband is murdered.

Totally enthralling. Loved the story, characters and setting, Paris, if you have previously visited, certainly comes alive once again. Very well written and can’t wait to read the next in the series. Highly recommended.

A very good mystery. This novel was very good at keeping me interested in the story. Claire is relentless, and will not give up on the reason or finding who killed her husband. The author is a master at weaving this story. I was totally surprised at the events.
