Awesome Book. My all time favorite book series has been “Diary Of A Wimpy Kid” for the longest time. I think Percy Jackson has just dethroned Wimpy Kid. First off, Percy is an extremely likable character. I love his POV and him always making these little jokes. Now that I’ve been reading Percy Jackson I know more about Greek Gods then I should…. Overall great book, can’t wait to get Chalice Of The Gods!

Great book. My son is 11 and read this for school and it became a family favorite. The girls who are 9 loved it and wanted to hear the whole story. It grabbed the whole family’s attention. Would definitely recommend.

Why are a bunch of the reviews “love this book, fun and great” and just one star? Is it to attract more attention to positive reviews? It’s hurting the average, plz make your ratings reflect your opinion and put emojis in the title if you want to make sure people see your review. 3. The Harry Potter backlash is ridiculous. Harry Potter is an incredible fantasy story starring a bunch of teenagers. Percy Jackson is an incredible fantasy story starring a bunch of teenager. Yeah, what a rip-off!

Loved it. Best book I have listed to in a long time. Easy to get through and the characters are easy to be enchanted by.

Amazing. I’m a kid who didn’t read a book in 3 years. Then about 5 days ago I decided to read this out of no where. Summer was getting to me and I was bored. This book was interesting and turning. It left no space for boredom and left me wanting to keep reading. A must read in my eyes.

Game changer. I absolutely loved this book, adored it. It changed my perspective on so many things in my life and everytime I opened the book I felt invested in the pages. I felt like I was actually in the story with Annabeth, Percy, and Grover. If you’re thinking about buying it and reading it 100% YES from me!

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Started Rereading the entire series again after about 4 years and it’s bringing back my love for reading. Oh how I’ve missed the magical world of Percy Jackson. Can’t wait for the tv series!

A Super Fun Read. This action-packed tale is a super fun read. Percy and his friends are enjoyable protagonists against a world full of gods and monsters right out of Greek mythology. A fun wild ride all around.

This is the best Greek god book!!!. I am really into Greek mythology and if you are too then you should buy this book.if you want just a good book in the background and a new sires then try this book sires there are 2 movies out run so go watch them.

Favorite Book Series!!!. I LOVE the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series! It is so adventurous and fun to read. I would literally read this book in school. I recommend the book to anyone who loves action and adventure. BUT there is one problem. So many people say that they like younger kids to read it. I personally think that because of war, death and some hostility it should be for people who are at lest 13. Other then the age recommendations I LOVE the series and recommend it to anyone who is at lest 13.

I did a whole biography about Rick Riordan last year!!!!!! I’ve read all of his books (1. Greek mythology (duh) 2. Norse mythology 3. Egyptian mythology 4. Roman +Greek mythology 5.Roman +Greek mythology #2)!!!! I recommend all of the above to everyone close to my age. If you’re looking for a new series then you found it.. This book is so amazing that when I was in school we were supposed to read it as a class but I may have gotten a bit too interested and read the whole thing. A day ago I was thinking that Wings of Fire was the best series in the world and is far better than every book but honestly now I’m not so sure after reading a couple books in the series. I hope you enjoy this masterpiece as much as I did.

Simply a good book. I loved reading this book it allows you to dive into a fictional story that’s simply amazing and exciting.

Fun and action packed. I got recommended this book from my girlfriend and even though I haven’t seen any of the movies, I really enjoyed this. It’s a lot of good things mixed into one that sometimes made me go from laughing, to anger, to sadness, and back again. I really enjoyed this and now I am most likely going to be spending many days and hours reading the rest of the series.

A classic.. Very charismatic, likable and interesting. Having the books in a first person perspective was an ingenious move by Riordan. It would just be sooo much different from a third person perspective and would possibly take away from the charm of the original story. Hope that stay true with the new adaptation. Highly recommend this book for all middle schoolers.

I love it. Percy Jackson is my life. My teacher gives us eight dollars to spend on books for our birthdays. So I picked out the Hunger Games for 5$ and Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief for 3$. After I finished The Lightning Thief I went to my mom and she promised to put The Sea Of Monsters on hold. I had to wait a whole month. I died in that month. I love AnnaBeth and Grover. Love. Best book ever

A Truly Amazing Book. This book is full of adventure and will make you feel like you might have powers too. Rick Riordan must have put so much time into making this and that’s evident because he has made all these references and words that make since with the book. Like characters in the book might say something like, “Holy Hera!” If they’re surprised. I think that is so cool, and I could never do that in any of the papers my mom makes my write for homeschool. I love the slang, but that’s not all, there is so much possibility in this book and so little flaws. (And I also love the way he does the chapters with the name of the chapter being the character’s name in the book, in their perspective). I just want to say thank you to Rick Riordan for giving us something to read/ listen to when we’re bored.

Truly Amazing!. I finished this book in 2 days! Honestly it was perfect!! I’ve missed fantasy and when I picked up my phone and decided to read this one I just immediately fell in love and could not put it down (literally talk to my family I was reading wherever and whenever one could read)

Really good book. DISCLAIMER! I didn’t use the digital version, I’m reviewing the book not the quality of the ebook. Anyways, I love this book, I haven’t even finished the entire thing! I didn’t think I would like it as I haven’t read a book willingly in years (By willingly I mean not being told to, I found it and just decided to read it)! I has hooked reading this at midnight because I just had to read more. 9/10

Mythological and Action Packed. This story is your typical lonely, troubled kid that’s ends up learning that they have powers and needs to save the world. And this book performs this magnificently. Considering the demographic for this book, I think this is a perfect story containing great friendships, action, and it even teaches you about Greek mythology. Fun read for any age. One side point, if you or your child has ADHD (like myself) that they are struggling with, this story is very comforting and you can really relate to Percy and his struggles.

It had me hooked on the first sentence, I could not put it down, great descriptions, memorable characters and a hella good plot this book is legit awesome. If you like a good fantasy and Greek mythology I ten out recommend!!

This book is WOW!!. It taught me some more than what I learned in school about Greek mythology gods like The goddess of revenge. It is a good book. Inspiring and Worrying like what’s going to happen!! I’m on the fourth book so far as today. This is my after read after the Wingfeather Saga by Andrew Peterson. READ IT TOO!!!

dangerous. this is my second time reading it excpet the first time I read it in paperback. it’s so dangerous and exciting. i am so excited that ibooks came to the mac book and i’ve been waiting for it for since i got my ipod a year ago but my parents said i couldn’t download it because the books were to exspensive. but now at nine it comes with my mac book air and i can all the percy jackson boooks i want! :) :) <3

Great series! Love it! 9+. I love these books! I am currently on The Battle of the Labyrinth and I think it is the best one of the series so far! I don’t believe in Greek gods but they are fun to read about when Rick Riordan is writing the books! I love all the characters, especially Percy! He is not just another dull and serious main character, he is brave, selfless and really really funny! The humour that Uncle Rick puts into these books is what makes them so great. He knows how to write a good kids book, from a kids POV, and doesn’t give Percy the personality of an adult. Yet, he still writes with maturity when it is needed. And Also, Percy is such a great role model for your kids! I have learned so much about Greek mythology in these books! All the stories and characters are so fascinating! (My favourite Greek story is the one with Theseus in the Labyrinth) . Also, if you want to buy these for your kid but your worried, I got you! These books are totally appropriate, there is no swearing, no sexual stuff or intense kissing, and not a ton of blood or gore. There are battles but nothing too descriptive. The only thing you might want to beware of is that it does talk a lot about death and the underworld ( hell ) and hades ( the devil). There is a part where a boy summons the dead, and there are walking skeletons, but it really doesn’t describe much. Overall these books are totally great for any age( you can never be too old for Percy Jackson!) but I’d say 9+ or whatever age you are comfortable with your child reading them. Sorry that this was really long but I hope I informed you with what you needed!

Amazing!!!. Naturally, I hate books with monsters and stuff. So do most of my friends. But I started reading this book and I couldn't stop! It's an amazing book, full of adventure and fun. I totally support Percabeth too! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone! It also started getting me interested in Greek mythology! Jeez, before I read this book, the only thing I new was Zeus, a guy who has a big statue with blank eyes! But when I finished the series, I could name all the gods, mythical monsters and pretty much everything else! Hip, hip hooray, for Rick Riordan!

Awsome. Dear Rick riordan I read all of the books for the lightning thief sires. I loved those books. From my point of view I read the lightning thief it was good then I read the sea of monsters. I liked that better then the lightning thief. Like after every book I read of that sires it was like you took it up a notch. Each book got more and more challenging and more and more interesting. But the only reason I started the first book was that the illusion of the cover you put so much detail into it just the title. Yellow and the end of ever letter was in lightning form. Then the back ground manhattan in the back ground with a storm over it. It caught my eye like it was telling me to read it. I have read other books and it had a noun in it and it showed it in the back ground like the maze runner the maze was right in the back ground. When i looked at the lightning thief I realized it was going to be a good book because the word was right in the back ground. I knew it was going to be a good book. My favorite was the last Olympian. Started it finished it in 2 to 3 days I sampled the red pyramide I read that book it hooked me and I will read that sires too. And the hero's of Olympus. you a very good author. Your adventure story's hook me like my mothers cooking. You keep writing and I will keep read reading.i can't wait to see the movies of the lightning thief books I hope there good as the books.
