Great addition to the series. This series is such a great original story filled with fantasy, action, and violence. This book is violent and has some makeout scenes that may leave teens uncomfortable. There is a brief and crude reference to male anatomy and other milder terms and cussing. Good for: ages 14+

So exciting. I love this series. Clary is a little annoying sometimes, but you have to remember she's young and ignorant to this world. It is wonderful watching her grow and learn what true evil is. I love the new characters. The battle on the ship is so exciting. I love when Jace fights. Exciting!

HOOKED!!. I started reading the first book last year and then I said to myself, why did you wait so long to start reading the series. I am HOOKED and I love a good book but this is superb, every character is good but out of all of then my favorite is Magnus Bane. I can't wait to start reading the rest of the books along with "The Infernal Devices", "The Bane Chronicles", and eventually whatever comes after.

CITY OF BONES FAN. I thought that this book was amazing, and I can't wait to read city of glass.Even though I think city of bones was better I would still read this book, and yes it is worth the read.

Amazing!. This book is intense and emotionally gripping with all its dramatic twists and turns. The witty dialogue and general darkness give it an edge, yet the humor lightens it to just the right degree. Beautiful!

Read it... Seriously. I read the first book in the series "City of bones" and loved it!!!! In the past I have read good books but have been disappointed with the second. So I was questioning buying the second book. But after purchasing this book and reading the first few pages I was hooked!!! I finished it in 2 days. And I am eager to read the third book "city of glass"!!!!

Good book, but uncomfortable. I think it was a great book, and not too weird of dark things or horrow. The thing with the brother sister thing really makes me uncomfortable and at times I really don’t like it, but the plot and everything keeps me wanting to read! Well written and good humor and I love that Clary isn’t too clumsy or helpless as a main character in love.

really good. au contraire to what that idiot said in the review below, of course this book doesn’t follow the show or the movie. it came way before both of them, and is, frankly, way better. the movie tried, at least, it just fell short of the mark. the show however…. *shudders* the ONLY thing the show got correct was the characters. other than that, the show was so off that it shouldn’t be called shadowhunters.
