A worth read. What a thriller this is. If you enjoy courtroom dramas with endless twists, this is a title that you should not miss. Though not as absorbing as Kane and Able, then again, there aren't many books that are as good as Kane and Able, A Prisoner of Birth will definitely keep you imprisoned.

Could not put it down. Like all of Archer's novels I could not put this down. Riveting, fast-moving, colorful and splendidly-written. Not a wasted word, not a boring paragraph. What a treat. He always teaches us a bit about the culture, time or industry in which the story takes place. And this one was no different. He is the best writer out there.

Ludicrous. If ludicrous describes something 'so unbelievable it is amusing' (which it does), I'd use it to describe the story. That said, I do agree with the other reviewer who said the book was a page-turner. It is an easy read with an interesting story. The constant twists in the story keep you engaged and in suspense, wanting to find out how each character finds their way out of sticky situations. Disappointingly, these resolutions are often not entirely convincing. Overall, as another reviewer put it, it is a reasonable book but not in the league of 'Kane and Abel'.
