Blackout. This is my first review, so pardon any run on sentences or other grammatical errors. I started at the beginning of this series and got sucked in quickly. At first I thought I was reading a Steven King rip off, but it quickly pulled away from the course the King set previously. I really enjoyed the tone and speed of the book. As the author noted there were about a million words and I would have changed very few. I found myself staying awake to the wee hours to finish each one in fear it would move on without me. The heroes were great and real and Walt was my favorite. If you're looking for a great series with lots of action and a great wrap up at the end and all reasonably priced, I can highly recommend this author and these books! Thanks Edward for giving me hours and hours of reading enjoyment.

Amazed. I’m amazed with how genuine my love for this series is. I feel like Ness, Sebastian, Walt, Carrie, Tristan, Raina, Mauser, Mia, Lowell (etc. eternity) encompass all of us. This series is so pure and I couldn’t get enough of it. Everyone should read these books. They’re amazing.

Right up there with LOTR. From the first book I was hooked. Reading about real people in post apocalyptic circumstances was refreshing. Characters had their lives changed by the virus. But after that initial reaction they were given second chances to change their lives again. Read this series! You won't be sorry.

The "Breakers" series. Just finished the final book, "Blackout". Excellent conclusion to a series of books I could not put down. Great characters and plot twists. Some books you know what's coming next, not this series. I highly recommend these books. GregV

Breaker series. Best darn series of books I have read by a new author in quite some time. The plot and characters just flow. And the editing...I can't remember the last time I read a self published book that did not have a ton of grammatical errors❗️

A Great Ending To A Great Series. The conclusion of the Breakers series is the best book of the series, and I've loved them all. It's a worthy end to the story arc that started with Breakers and ends with Blackout. In a post apocalyptic world, that has everything you're looking for in a great sci-fi series. Take the time to read this series, you won't be disappointed.

Breakers series: outstanding..... A million words... Wow. I picked up the first book free, and was hooked. I have read literally thousands of books, mostly sci-fi and adventure in my 56 years of life, and I also read the Stand (one of my favorites, as with the author). I don't have the words to say how engaging and well written these books are. Every character, every scenario, every battle and plot twist is perfection. Edward, you are an amazing author, self made man, and an inspiration to thousands of other authors out there that might not just give up and follow the "wrong" Way.... I think Raina's moon was looking down favorably the last four years!

Breakers series. I have enjoyed all of his books, but this series most of all - a great mix of solid characters, drawn together in surprising ways by a twisting but compelling master plotline. Each of the books stands strong on it's own, but the mixtures in the later installments are especially well done - a very good blend of "page-turning" action with thought-provoking psychological speculation. I highly recommend it!

Blackout. Blackout is an awesome conclusion to the Breakers series. The great story telling continues and the adventure is high caliber. It is so great to go out with knowing what became of my favorite characters. Very well done Mr. Robertson! I have read the first installments to the Rebel Stars series and am totally hooked and waiting for more. The Breakers series is one of my all time favorites!

Hard to put down!. Absolutely thrilling conclusion to a fantastic series, I tried to read it slowly as I didn't want it to end, but I just couldn't put it down! A rich world full of believable characters, fast paced and full of action! If you like post apocalyptic stories, this is for you.

A fine ending. I enjoyed the series so much I ended up binge reading. In some ways it was ‘ happily ever after’ with caveats. I enjoyed the pace of the series and look forward to reading more of his books. Enjoy.

10/10. Absolutely brilliant series. I haven’t read a book series for a good 10 years, but Breakers as a whole has completely rejuvenated my love of reading! Time to check out the authors other works I think!

Born to read. I absolutely loved this series, loved the characters, situations, locations, everything. I'm a big Stephen King fan and found the style very similar but maybe slightly better than King, especially the ending. Lots of cliffhanger moments made this hard to put down. Going to check out more books from this wonderful author. Well done Ed, keep up the great work, and thank you for bringing these wonderful characters into my life, it was so nice to spend time with them and I shall miss them dearly.

Brilliant. I have read this series twice…long but coherent, very coherent. Character stability and engagement amazing over such a long series.

Blackout, book 8 final book of the breakers series. The conclusion to the Breakers series, this book ties together the characters past and present who fought and survived the 6 year war against the aliens. The ending is both surprising and the characters are true to themselves in their own ways. You will just have to read this 8th book to find out just what I mean ! The author of this series is a mastermind, talented, and has worked hard to have his books be so successful. This series is a MUST READ !

Must Read. Loved this final book of the series. Everything is tied up nicely by its end. Especially loved the indestructible “Walt”. Actually I was invested in most of the main characters and was saddened at some of their deaths. Anyone looking for a fast paced sci-fi/plague adventure needs to try this series. I’m looking forward to more from this author.

Breakers;Relevant entertainment in today’s world.. This review is about ALL the books in the series. Like most in the world right now I have a hunger for good books. I enjoy series and picked up the first two in this set not really knowing WHAT it was about. While chewing through the first novel I found my appetite becoming voracious and had to buy as many as I could right away. I was filled with fear as multiple lives were ripped apart by a virus; nudge nudge, and felt nauseous at the consideration that right now there is a global pandemic. By the time I got to the revelation that there were interstellar beings responsible I thought I’d lose interest but the tapestry of friendship that weaves between Ness and Sebastian kept me hungry for more of their story. The individual stories that came together was satisfying, the tactics exciting and the dialogue funny and fresh. This is a very good series and I hope more people read this.

Sad to see the end. What a great series. I'm sad to see it over. I too loved the Stand and this series rekindled my love of this line of story telling.

Great series of books!. There’s something about disaster stories that appeal to me. And this series of books was no exception. I really enjoyed the way the author introduced different characters in the first few books then eventually brought them together. And the plague/alien aspect worked well for me and made the stories even more interesting.
