Gruesome. Unless you have a strong stomach, don't bother. I gave up when I nearly threw up reading it.

Mr Sideboard. Was expecting more based on reviews before purchase . I also tried the first chapter as a sample. There was a promising beginning but I am afraid it just got more ludicrous as the book progressed. In the end I didn't care what happened to anybody as none of the characters were engaging. Pretty good effort for a first novel but I definitely wouldn't recommend it. Strange choice of title and cover image too.

Astounding.... That this book was even published at all. Did nobody at Avon proofread or edit? Far too many grammatical errors within, making it a disappointing and frustrating read. I’ve just heard that this author has been signed on for more books. Hopefully she’ll learn the correct uses for punctuation marks in the meantime.

Brilliant, but disturbing!. Really good, gripping, dark, horrible, twisted but thoroughly absorbing right up until the end! The character development is fantastic and the book moves along at just the right pace.

Don't believe the hype. Interesting storyline ruined by unnecessarily detailed gore. I kept feeling annoyed by the complete lack of editing/proofreading. Lack of often basic grammar made this a tedious read.

Great book!. I really enjoyed this book! Although at first I found it hard to keep up with all the different characters and storylines it turned out to be a really good and gripping read! Would recommend to anyone who doesn't mind a bit of gore. It also does have some very dark story lines within it. Brilliant writing though! 😊

Unsatisfactory ending.. A long convoluted tale that does not quite make the reader believe. It was one of those books that took me forever to read and I actually read another book during the time as well. Not very good on police procedure either and the language used made me think I was reading an American cop story at times. The author needs to brush up on UK police structures, language, procedures and regulations before she enters that world again. The main characters are, once again, lonely and socially damaged police officers with relationship problems, a format that has become boringly familiar and features in about 90% of crime novels today.

Page turner. This book is a good read for anyone who likes crime fiction or murder mysteries. The writing style was a bit odd at times with some incredibly long sentences and one or two other strange nuances. But the plot was great and it kept me hooked. I really enjoyed it despite the grisly and gruesome bits!

Another Wow. Three quarters of the way through this book the word 'Wow' came into my head. I have just seen that another review used this word too. The book does jump around from person to person and from present to past but it is so worth sticking with it. Concentrate. The journey is worth it. Not an action novel but one of the best books that I have read in a long time.

Meh.. I read 'the secret' first so I had very high expectations for this book, the first few pages were good but then it just got dull and really confusing. The secret is also confusing with the jumping from character and times etc but I just couldn't get to grips with this story. I gave up after 100 pages! I really don't want to give up on it so I may give it another go at some point, but I was disappointed. No where near as good as the secret!
