Runaway bride, sexy musician let the chaos begin. Great read. Dirty (Dive Bar #1) by Kylie Scott When Lydia Green finds out her soon to be husband has been cheating on her with his best friend Paul minutes before she is due to walk down the aisle she does what any woman would do—she runs! With no one in town to run to Lydia finds herself hiding the bathroom of someone’s house hoping to get a few moments to get herself together and then get out of dodge. She never expected the owner to come home and find her a crying, dirty, bruised mess in his bath tub. She also could not have anticipated that the home owner would be the handsome stud standing naked before her. I love, love, loved this book. It was such a fun and sexy read as only Kylie Scott can provide. Her style of writing is unique and always entertaining. Lydia is a girl on the run, her life picture perfect future that she thought she was getting marrying a stable business man from a well to do family has now shattered. Leaving her with nowhere to live and nowhere to run from the tabloidesque drama that is about to unfold in their little town thanks to her dramatic exit from her own wedding. The last thing she needs is to be the center of attention. Somehow Vaughan helps her get through it all. They start as friends; Vaughan has his own troubles but from the start you can tell he’s a solid guy who wouldn’t let Lydia fend for herself when she obviously needs help. Around them there are a bunch of well-rounded characters like Vaughan’s sister she was a hoot hope she gets her own book. There is lots of sexual attraction between Vaughan and Lydia, they start a friends with benefits type relationship because Vaughan doesn’t plan on staying and Lydia has no idea where she will end up. Lydia is a real woman with real curves I love that about Kylie’s writing as well, she creates strong female characters we can all relate to or hope to be like. The characters quickly become part of each other’s lives and Lydia can’t help but fall for the sex on stick Vaughan. Personally I never fall for the gingers but Vaughan definitely converted me he’s one sexy man. There is drama, laughs, dirty sex and plenty of emotions to make for a fantastic tale of unexpected love.

I found my peps!!. OMG...like real life everyday conversations. You don't get that with a lot of stories...sometimes the things that are said, "you're like really?" But 90% of this I have either thought the exact same things or had these same type of conversations with my friends about life, jobs and men. Such a good book. I'm just really sad I didn't find the Stage Dive series first...Ms. Scott has a new fan! Can't wait to start Twist!

Clever - Sexy - Word Candy. Kylie Scott unwraps a story that pulls the reader into a world of heart warming romance dipped in constant witty banter. Excellent book!! Can't wait for the next in the series! :)

Sweet funny and sexy. Another good read by Kylie Scott. This had some really good wit and each person in the book played a strong character so you know that this is going to be a good series as we get to know each member of the dive bar group. Vaughn was moody and made me nervous a few times. Lydia was strong character even though she had some self image problems but Vaughn really helped her overcome those. I can not wait to see how their relationship develops in future books.

LOVED Vaughan. I would like to begin the review by saying... HALLELUJAH! I have been not so patiently waiting for new material from Kylie Scott, scouring the internet and silently stalking her social media accounts. Once this hit Netgalley, I pounced. I. MUST. HAVE. IT. And... in true Kylie Scott fashion, she did not disappoint. Story - The story started off a tad on the cliche side. Girl (Lydia) finds out her fiance is cheating on her on their wedding day.. yeah, yeah, ive read this before. But almost immediately I see the Kylie Scott spin. (Gah, shes good) Lydia, obviously is heartbroken. She busts into Vaughan's (not the fiance) house still decked out in her wedding dress. Vaughan finds her in his bathtub. (Oh, it just gets better). What exactly does one former rocker-turned-bartender do with a fully dressed bride sobbing in the tub? The story line had a wonderful flow to it. Smooth as a baby's bum. If everyone would leave me alone (why wont you people LEAVE ME ALONE) I could have read the entire book in one sitting. It was light on the drama, heavy on the sexy and just the right length. Characters- Since day one of the Stage Dive series (Lick) - I have been hopelessly in love with Kylie Scott characters. They are unique, funny, certainly on the alpha side with the males and most of all - they are memorable. Vaughan is no exception. He takes wonderful care of Lydia and he is just so swoony. I totally loved him. Lydia... I liked her, but I didnt love her. Her inner dialogue gave me a little grief. How can she think soooo much when she is kissing a MAN. LIKE. VAUGHAN? Just shut up already and get with the kissing. All in all, it was great. It wasnt perfect but books rarely ever are. Would I recommend it? DEFINITELY. To readers who are looking for light, sexy, relatively drama free reads that will still get their motors running and contain memorable characters who are easy to fall in love with. 4**** WickedGood Stars for Dirty by Kylie Scott

Wow!. Ok this book popped my Kylie Scott cherry. I know, where have I been??? But Lydia and Vaughan's story is epic! I love it! Lydia is a runaway bride but without her purse, money or cards, well she can't get too far. She ends up hiking herself over the fence and hiding in Vaughan's tub. Which is totally the way to start a relationship. They're quirky and their friendship isn't conventional but that's what makes it great. And meeting the Dive Bar characters! I'm SO ready for Twist now!

Recommended. This is the first book in a new series that is a spin-off of the Stage Dive Series. Vaughan was part of the band who opened up for Stage Dive on tour and we first met him in Deep. Lydia is running from her wedding after finding out her groom is having an affair with his best man. She ends up hiding out in Vaughan’s house. This book is close to insta-love, they are instantly attracted and feelings develop pretty quickly. There is a lot of drama and not all of it involves the cancelled wedding. I really enjoyed this one and would recommend it.

Another great one. Kylie Scott is great at writing series stories that elicit emotion from their readers. This story was among her best. Writing style was great, we met a rambling squishy nonbride and a sexy man running from his past toward a dream of a future. It seems while neither of them were seeking love, it found them and we got to see their story unfold in a sometimes silly and other times sexy way. The character development is great and leaves you hoping the next book in the series will be your next favorite character, or the character will impending drama. Dirty gave us, great sex in a messed up situation. Couldn't have been better! A great read and sure to hit the best sellers list!

So happy to have more from Kylie Scott. This wasn't my favorite of hers, there was a lot of set up to the next books in the series, and the romance felt a little lacking of conflict but as always the dialogue and character development was really good.

Meh. It started out okay but I lost interest less than a third of the way through. It just got tedious and uninteresting. I skipped pages and chapters and didn’t feel like I missed anything at all. This was the exact same story as the other book I read from this author. The characters had the exact same feel and dialogue and it just ruined it for me. Nothing new.

Must Read. The first book in the Dive Bar Series and it is an amazing read! Lydia running from her wedding ceremony and unceremoniously ends up hiding in Vaughn's bathtub. Her escape was hilarious. His surprise at her there didn't even trump the banter between these two. I loved the honesty, the low angst level and the emotions that were open and honest. Kylie Scott did an amazing job bringing these two characters out and the dialogue was well done. Kylie certainly brought out their depth as people as well. There was nothing "predictable" about this story. Just the right amount of steam and a great end to the book. Add to the mix his sister, owner of a local pub, their friends and the sisters ex.... I am anxious for book two and could easily give this a second read. Highly recommend.

Another Great Book from Kylie. ‘You wouldn’t believe how hard it was, keeping my eyes on his face. The struggle was real. It might have been due to my not seeing one in so long, but his d*** seemed almost hypnotic.’ A new series by Kylie Scott???? HELL FRIGGIN YES! Dirty is book on in the Dive Bar series, which is a spin off of sorts although with small characters, you could totally start with this series and have zero trouble reading it. Dirty is a delicious blend of humor, sex and a cast of characters so intriguing that if plane tickets weren’t so expensive I would be flying to Australia to make sure the next book comes out on time. Also does anyone know what Australia’s stalking laws entail? Anyway back on topic, I read Dirty in one sitting and while I am not sure it beats out a couple of the Stage Dive books for my favorite Kylie Scott book it is definitely close up there. “No straight guy could stay away from that rack,” he said quietly. “Just saying.” “Not everyone’s a t** man.” “Well, they should be,” he scoffed. “Breast is best.” After running from her wedding Lydia lands in the bathroom along with a very naked and VERY well endowed. The entire scene is hilarious and obscene but Kylie’s writing keeps it from being too over the top and slapstick. I am a huge fame of witty rapport in books but I don’t love when a well written book with humorous elements turns into slapstick and Kylie has a wonderful way of keeping her stories right at this fine line. Lydia and Vaughn quickly develop a friendship and she starts working at his sister’s bar. Soon this curvy girl is occupying his thoughts and she is no better at blocking him out of her. ‘At any rate, I ignored the stirrings of lust from my loins, for now. Etiquette dictated that jumping a man in front of his sibling was not the right thing to do.’ Overall, Dirty was just what I would expect for the start of a new series. I find often that book one in series where I love all the books tends to spend a good amount of time setting up the rest of the series. And boy, does this one get me excited for what is to come. I adored this story but I can honestly say that after reading it I am on pins and needles for what is to come. The storylines and characters Kylie has set up have me dying with anticipation. Grab Dirty today for a supremely fun book with lots of “dirty” sexy time and a story you I promise you will be hooked and eagerly awaiting the next one! ~miranda

Review: Dive Bar 1: Dirty. Dirty by Kylie Scott is the first book in her new Dive Bar series. With the title of the book AND series I wet in expecting something darker. What I got was a laugh out loud, get weird looks from your family, kind of book. It was so perfect in the delivery of the humor and the characters were so likeable (except of course for the horrible almost in-laws, we hated them). This is the first book I have read by Kylie Scott and I definitely will be reading more from her in the future. Well-paced and hilarious and absolutely, wonderfully heartwarming I loved this book so much. Don't get me wrong, it had some downer moments too but my take-away emotion from reading this was happy and positive and I'm very excited for more books in this series. Up next: Twist

Making Friends and Sexy Time. Vaughan was in a band that has broken up, and he's gone back to his hometown to regroup before striking out again. After finding out her fiancé is in love with his bestie, Lydia runs away, right into Vaughan. Theirs is a whirlwind romance. Lydia and Vaughan instantly see something in each other and start with the sexy, sassy banter and feelings of love. Much of the story involves a bar restaurant called Dive Bar and the people who spend their time there. Most of the cast have major history. Dirty is a spin-off of the Stage Dive series, but you don't have to read the Stage Dive books first (even though I do highly recommend them). It's a RomCom full of fun and relationships (family, friends, romance). I enjoyed this book and recommend it to someone looking for a fairly light, voluptuous, cheeky read.

Sexy and full of quick comebacks!!!. The story line is great but my favorite thing about this book is the wit and humor. "Trust me, never mock a romance book," "You have no idea the amount of good they can do for you between the sheets and on the streets. If you love your girl? Buy her books." -Malcolm Ericson, Stage Dive PRICELESS! Lydia and Vaughn are fabulous together. Their back and forth humorous banter and sexiness mesh so well. The story starts with betrayal and moves onto friendship, family, dealing with the past, more friends and some pretty steamy and sometimes awkward bedroom action. What's going on between Pat and Nell is heartbreaking. I'm not sure if I like Eric or not. That's still up in the air. I love how Lydia is constantly talking to herself. She's a keeper! This is a fun and refreshing read and quite a bit different from the normal rock star romance novel. I can't wait for the next book in this amazing new series by this fabulous author. Meh. The story was good, funny and the ending was wonderful ... but her self image issues were to the point of ridiculousness! I mean gah there was only so much criticism of oneself another person can take... I mean i was really starting to see her as she described herself and that was annoying .. other than that it was a good read ....

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Kylie Scott. Once again Kylie knocks it out the park....I read this book in one day. I CAN NOT wait till Nov. for the second book. I want to know more about the characters from the Dive Bar series.

Great Read. This was so freaking awesome! It was fun and entertaining, really sweet, and way hot! I was beyond excited while reading, hated to put it down, and pretty much ignored everything while I read. I love that feeling when I get truly all consumed into a story and the characters lives. Loved this so very much!

Loved it..... I fell completely in love with Vaughn and Lydia's story so cute.... Wish we had a little more of them.... But all in all great book loved it.

4.5 Stars!. I had a really great time reading this book! I sure smiled and laughed a lot. From beginning to end I was totally invested and entertained. Lydia, and pretty much everyone else in this book, is just on the right side of crazy. This book was filled with crazy antics, lighthearted humor and a heartwarming sexiness! I sort of craved a little more backstory on Lydia and Vaughn, but overall I was happy with the story and I'd definitely recommend this book. Excited to see what comes next in this series.

Soooo good. I loved this book the story line and characters were amazing I love that Lydia was plus sized its a great thing having characters plus sized so thank u can't wait for the rest of the series I'm really looking forward to nell I'm hopin for pat😉 anyway great story must read!
