If you don't know her, don't start here, this is not a stand-alone book. Check out the rest of the series first. Having chapters from different points of view, as well as Mercy being without her allies for much of this book, made this a very different entry in the series. It is reminiscent of the early books before Mercy and Adam were mated, but very new and fresh, as well. We get to know some series regulars much better, and get a few new characters. Larry the Goblin King is a favorite and sure to return. There were a few big twists, one of which really got me. I'm a mystery reader and I was had, big time! I enjoyed every minute of this read, no slow spots at all. *A copy of this book was provided to us with no requirements for a review. We voluntarily read this book and our comments here are the honest opinion of my associate reviewer.

Mercy Goes to Europe. Interesting story that attempts to cover a lot of geography and characters previously referenced in other works. High intrigue, but not enough Mercy and Adam interaction. Not my favorite of the series.

Blindsided. Another awesome installment! There's a huge twist at the end that made me re-read the entire book in a new light. Seriously, Ms. Briggs, how do you manage to blind side me when so many other authors fail. Only a true artist can manage the quirky Mercy and still include all the little nuggets she leaves in these books.

Another Hit!. Loved it! Just finished the book. This story was a little different as it was told from different points of view, which I really enjoyed. I don't want to say too much and give away any plot. I will say if you have not started reading this series you should give it a try. This is a great series, along with the author's other series "Alpha and Omega", both are enjoyable reads.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT.. Mercy is caught up in a vampire political power play that leaves her running for her life on an entirely different continent. Denied her biggest advantage, her friends and family, Mercy relies on her wits to traverse the vampires and the werewolves of Prague. Sometimes the lesser of two evils isn’t always that best choice and some old ghosts are better left alone. This installment, Silence Fallen of Mercy Thompson inspired a re-read of the entire series. I know I am totally jumping the gun, but I couldn't wait to read more of Mercy and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. With each book, Briggs drags us deeper into the heart of Mercy's world and there is no slowing down for this series. Silence Fallen brings me back to the beginning when Mercy was facing everything mostly on her own. Just like then she is left stand by herself, but now we see the obvious character development and it is amazing. Mercy seeks alliances as soon as she gets the opportunity, and these alliances open an entire world that I would love to get to know even more...the European werewolves. Maybe another spin off. One can only hope. I received this ARC copy of Silence Fallen from Berkley Publishing Group - ACE in exchange for a honest and voluntary review.

Cinema. If we are lucky, someday movies will be made based on these books. I hope they get made in the Tri-Cities, WA.

Corrections. Excellent! It was a bit confusing when the story jumped from Mercy to Adam but when all is said and done it actually was the best way to write this story. There are new characters to meet and lots of twists to the story. Bran is the biggest surprise. Aiden is some of the humor to the story but Mercy plays a part. I hope this is not the end because I have really enjoyed reading the series and look forward to more!

Highly disappointed. I never write a review for any books I read whether the book is good or bad and I read A lot. But I have to say something about this book. I'm a Huge fan of the Mercy Thompson Series and I can't tell you how disappointed I was in this book. All it consisted of was Mercy being trapped, then alone and waiting for Adam...BORING! There were no fight scenes like in the other books in the series. I have read all the other books at least twice..but this one, I Will Never Reread. I barely got through the book and the only reason I finished it was because I paid $14.99. In my opinion, this book wasn't worth $5.00, let alone $15. Robbery is what the price of this book is. I sincerely hope if there's another book in this series, it's better thought out and better written because I can't tell you how much of a let down this was! Better Luck Next Time ( if there is another book).

Dissapointment. I have been following "Mercy" books series from the start, it never has disappointed me till now . I was shocked at the quality at the last year and the current addition to the series. Patricia Briggs is such a talented writer! How is this possible? This book, in my opinion , has no depth , poor shallow two dimensional story line, especially sections labeled "Adam" and reminds me of a narrative to a documentary. Also description of fights 20 pages long , in my opinion, is bit excessive and unnecessary.

5 Stars. Patricia Briggs has done it again! An all night read and still not ready to put it down.

Another "Can't Put It Down" Worthy Book. Don't going to admit it to anyone out loud, but I did end call in sick to work and spent the whole time reading. This is why Patricia Briggs is my favorite author!

Not long enough. Terrific book, but it was too short. Loved the story, and will probably reread it again sometime soon.

The best out of Mercy yet!. I was hooked from page one. With lots of plot twists and turns I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. Briggs introduces lots of new characters you grow to love and brings in old characters that you was to read more about. Plus the one twist that I missed I won't spoil for you. Buy a copy and read it yourself.

Excellent story. Briggs once again weaves a wonderfully complex tale of adventure, humour and intrigue. The somewhat different style of this book lent itself well to the joint storylines contained within and the different POV’s were a nice change, adding richness and interest to the story. I loved seeing things from Adam’s prospective, her descriptive writing allowed you to really feel the wolf inside and also the depth of love he has for Mercy. This novel takes us on a thrilling adventure, that highlights the beauty and cultural heritage of Prague, as we separately follow Mercy and Adam who are once again caught up in vampire intrigue. It was nice to again encounter Stephan, the Scooby-Do loving vamp, and to also learn more about the Lord of the Night and the intricacy of vampire politics. Mercy continues to grow into her talents and the surprise at the end of this story is priceless. Overall this is a well-written, exciting story that keeps you enthralled to the very end.
