SO GOOD!!!. This book is such a fun read with an adorable so burn romance and characters with hilarious personalities! Love the found family trope. The main character’s bubbly personality is infectious and her awkward ramblings made me laugh out loud. I read a lot of YA romances, but this one definitely breaks the mold. In a lot of YA books, they will constantly try to justify the villains motives and make him the good guy, but this book really embraces him being a villain and it makes the book so much funnier! I binge read this in a day. Can’t wait for the next book!

BOOK 2 PLEASE. This book had me GIDDY. It’s easily one my top reads for the year! The writing style was refreshingly cute and quirky while carrying out some heavier topics with grace. I could not stop reading and can’t wait for the next!

Good concept, Execution needs work. The concept for the story is great, a fun idea if not a little jokingly macabre. However, the characters are a bit marred for me with the social justice/ neo feminist ideology littered throughout the novel. To clarify, it’s not a problem with the presence of these ideas. It’s the fact that the story doesn’t set up this ideology to make sense within the context of the book. The history of the main character is largely secret for a good portion of the book and there is a palpable lack of depth in initial world building. So having the main character think something like “women having fair treatment in the workplace is a disgusting idea and should just be done without a need to ask” feels out of place. There is no established norm of mistreatment of women in the novel’s world and this makes the random insertions feel like the author’s opinion bleeding into the narrative. Additionally the story progresses quickly, it feels unusual and makes the attraction between the main characters seem cheaper than if they had time to develop it through routine interaction. Still I give it 3 of out 5, this book is creative and fun, I think the author shows a lot of promise.

Amazing need a sequel. Omg this is amazing and I love it. It’s hilarious and perfect. Romantic and adventurous and ugh I’m in love. I must know what happens next!!!

Humorous and Fun to Read. This was a fantastic book! I cackled my way through it. The characters were so much fun. They were engaging, and now I am depressed because I must wait for the second book as I read this one the day that it came out… it leaves you on a giant cliffhanger. Ugh. Highly recommend Assistant to The Villain. I totally identify with Evie as I ramble when I’m nervous, I’m an eternal optimist, I’m a klutz, and I have a bad habit of apologizing for everything. Her quips are fantastic and her mischievous streak is admirable.

Need book 2!!!!!. Omg this book was so funny and cuteee! I need the second book yesterday. I can’t believe it ended like that I’m crying!!

Assistant To The Villain. I’ve never loved a book more. I laughed so much it was borderline ridiculous. I wasn’t able to put it down either, not even at work. I can’t wait for the next one!!!!

Easy, fun read. Is this high literature? No. And that’s okay. This is a fun read and one that is simple to get through, follow, and if you just let go of yourself a little bit, simple to enjoy.

I NEED BOOK 2 OR I WILL DIE. This book was so witty and addicting. I read it in one afternoon! The end is the worst type of cliffhanger…. I cannot wait to see what happens!!

Refreshing read. I loved this book! The characters were so quirky and endearing and the plot was very suspenseful and keeps you guessing. So different than anything I’ve read in a long time and I can’t wait for the sequel!

One of the best books I’ve read in a long time!!. A TRILLION STARS!!!! THIS WAS THE BEST!!!!! I LOVED IT!!!! I heard good things about this book, and can I just say it is not good….IT’S AWESOME!!!!!! I’m TOTALLY in love with The Villain!!! Evie Sage, his assistant, is one of the BEST, MOST RELATABLE characters!!! Their protectiveness of each other made me swoon!!😍 This story is full of adventure, action, witty characters and obnoxious characters, magical creatures and magical people, The Villain🖤 and freaking swoon-worthy romance!! I totally laughed-out-loud several times throughout! I rarely do that! I may chuckle, but this book had me cracking up!!! I love this book so much!! This is definitely on my favorite books (of all time) list, and I haven’t finished the series yet! I hope it’s not a terribly long wait for the next book, because I think I may die. I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to all my book friends, in fact I will be!!! Great job, Hannah!!!!!

Good ole Vamp fun and games. I enjoyed this quirky and predictable book. I would definitely check out future books from this author.
