Not what you think. This is a lesbian romance novel. Not at all what I was looking to read. I felt I was reading more of a politic issue ad. The author discusses abortion, rights to die, LGBT rights and her personal opinions on all of todays issues. I read to escape all that noise.

Great read. This book has a little of everything within its pages. Couldn’t put it down.

A must read. I’ll admit, I’m usually a series reader and I tend to stray away from novels. But my friend recommended this book to me over and over again, and I’m glad she did because it was an amazing book.

WOW 1000000000/10. Ok, so when I found this book, I thought it would just be typical and I would just read to see some drama. Boy was I wrong. I am not a person who loves reading, but this book was fantastic. I am probably too young to read this book but it was so compelling that I couldn’t stop myself. My favorite book I have read to date! Finished in only 6 days and even though I stayed up late it was all worth it in the end. No matter what your style is it is an amazing piece of art and you should give yourself the chance to read it.

Something with a twist!. Groundhogs day meets the Maze Runner but with murder. Definitely a book to keep you guessing and a few twists you really can’t see coming! A good balance of giving you the answer and leaving you hanging to fill in your own ideas, as any good fiction book should! This would be a great read for book club discussion

Fascinating!. I would have never read this book if it were for a work book club that I figured I join just to change things a bit. I read this book in 3 days. I. COULD. NOT! PUT! THE! BOOK! DOWN!! Love the most complex feeling that not one person in this world will agree to what it truly means, so long as the love you have is fulfilling and yours to appreciate in whatever way that may be.

political biased and racist. I listened to an hour of the book and thought the story was okay except for the political biased and racist comments the author put in. The worst part is that the comments do not advance the plot at all and could have easily been left out. I am not interested in listening to this type of book anymore when there are so many better written books out there.

Dysfunctional characters. This book was not what I anticipated. I had no interest at all in reading about a lesbian love affair.

The 7 husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Evelyn Hugo was a ruthless, spoiled, selfish person who used her money to get whatever she wanted. She would never have been a friend of mine and I had no respect for her character. However, the book was entertaining and kept me interested to see what she would unbelievably do next - I believe she had a mental disorder and totally manipulated all the people around her. She only loved herself!

Such a great read. Couldn’t put it down!. So much detail and emotion was put out into each character and for Evelyn, you feel the most towards her. Great story and easy read. I slightly even teared up a couple times while reading it. If you haven’t read this yet go ahead and put it on your To Read List!

A page turner. I’m not typically interested in books like this but the writing style is amazing and kept my interest from start to finish

Overrated!. I think this book is overrated. Don’t get me wrong the storytelling is exciting about the many lovers of a Hollywood actress. But with all the reviews and hype I read from book recommendations, I was expecting more. I don’t know. I will command the love story in this book is compelling and original. I guess you never really know the true lives of celebrities. It goes to show who manipulates the media to shelter or control their image. Great book but too much overhyped in my opinion.

Incredible…. This book got me hooked from the beginning, the ending pulled at my heart strings.

Nothing is black and white. I loved how the main character Evelyn shows us that nothing is ever black and white. No relationship or event and reactions to so are uncomplicated. I quickly became attached to learning about Evelyn and found myself wanting to know more. I just wish the book was longer!

Not bad. It’s an easy read- the story moves along swiftly and there plot twists and turns to keep you interested. But the writing and character development are lacking subtlety - every trait and thought is spelled out and explained as if the main character’s therapist wrote it. The language is simple, which isn’t necessarily bad. I just didn’t find it memorable. Not something I’d read twice.

Loved it and I’m not much of a reader. I’m not much of a reader but I loved the book and can honestly see this being made into a mini series or movie. The ending took me by surprise but the author has a good way of story telling and character development. I recommend this to anyone who wants to get into reading.
