About the author
Helen Fields studied law at the University of East Anglia, then went on to the Inns of Court School of Law in London. After completing her pupillage, she joined chambers in Middle Temple where she practised criminal and family law for thirteen years. After her second child was born, Helen left the Bar.
Together with her husband David, she runs a film production company, acting as script writer and producer. Perfect Remains is set in Scotland, where Helen feels most at one with the world. Helen and her husband now live in Los Angeles with their three children and two dogs.

Perfect Prey.. Second outing in Fields superbly plotted DI Callanach reading. Riveting read, fast paced, exquisite villains . One new break through writer that deserves many plaudits for brilliantly written crime thrillers. Each book better than the last. I eagerly await the next book.
Perfect Prey, a really gripping story.. The second DI Callenach book, the first was good, but this is better. Great story writing and some spine tingling murders that could give you nightmares. I’m looking forward to reading the third book.

Wow, what a read. Wow, what can I say. I loved this book. It had me hooked from the get go. I’ve already got the next book lined up.
Real intense. Wow! What a twisted plot, certainly kept me on edge. This instalment got real gruesome in parts, shocked me a few times. There is one glaring error that I wonder if any other readers picked up on. The main character, Callanach, speaks the name of one of the killers before he actually knew it. When I came across it, it jolted me for a few minutes. I can only imagine how difficult it is to keep track of the plot. It threw me when I read it, just wondering if others picked it up also. Nevertheless, this is a great read.
