Phone it in. Huge disappointment. I have read every book written by this author. I have loved them all—not one less than 5 stars. This seemed phoned in and weaker. The characters were not moving forward and the premise was boring. I will chalk it up to everyone has a bad day. Please go back to whatever has changed and if the passion is gone , then time to retire.

Another winner!. I have read every book in this series and have enjoyed them all. What a gifted writer! I have also read all the Nora Roberts books and love those as much as the In Death series.

Another Page Turner. Just what you hope for in an In Death book; fast paced, emotionally entangling, and (as always) a wonderful glimpse into the lives of vibrant characters who’ve become like old friends over the years.

Always the best. How this woman continues this series after nearly 60 books without boring her readers or delivering hackneyed writing I will never know - but I'm eternally grateful she does. You go Nora. Brava. (And please hurry with the second installment of 'Inheritance.')

Random in Death. Let me preface by saying I’ve read every single J. D. Robb. I I feel like i know Dallas and Rourke along with all the regulars. All her books are excellent. This one feels different. Can’t put my finger on it precisely but maybe a co-writer? The dialog doesn’t seem to read like all the others? Doesn’t make it bad just different. Maybe it’s me? I mean i know Dallas and Peabody always get the bad guy (s) and i for one love that it’s always fun to join in the how. I preorder most all of them. Please don’t ever stop writing this series at least till i’m gone. I’m 70 yo so…and I always enjoy looking forward to the next one. Been reading them since Nora started writing them, long before she fessed up to writing them. lol.

Random in Death. I could not get into this and I have read all of the series. The dialog seemed different. Not the usual that grabs you right into the story. Did Norah have someone helping or writing for her? Hope the next one is back to the usual.
