But when a fellow Dispatcher and former friend is apparently kidnapped, Tony learns that there are some things that are worse than death, and that some people are ready to do almost anything to avenge what they see as a wrong.

Interesting premise, well-told story. The entire premise is interesting. My only issue is that it was much too short. I look forward to future volumes.
Excellent. Interesting idea, well presented. In this length there is no room to jam in long explanations or backstory; Scalzi does a lovely job of giving just enough.
The Dispatcher. Good short story. John Scalzi is always interesting, no matter if it's comedy or drama. He makes all the characters believable. I'm always looking for new stuff from him. Would recommend this book.
Gud boi. Is gud boi
Ugh. This is basically a mystery novel. And the solution hinges on a grossly incorrect statistical calculation. What's worse, one of the characters promoting that solution literally says that she understands statistics (she doesn't). And I know cases when that kind of bad statistics ruined peoples lives.
Great read.. Fun, easy, and short read. Takes an unique leap, presents an unusual concept and is off and running. Scalzi is my favorite author by far and I truly enjoy the journeys he takes me on.
