Absolutely Exceptional. Where to even begin? Once I got into this book I couldn’t put it down! I loved hearing from multiple characters to get a better understanding of why certain thing happened the way the did. I truly can’t wait to recommend this book to someone else.

Build ups. I select books based off personal preference and reviews. This book had more reviews on how great it was vs not. And boy was I disappointed. Most of the time I was flipping through it to stop the bleeding. Everyone said predictable but I was morbidly dissatisfied with it all. Not sad about wasting money on a book, more sad I wasted time trying to finish this one.

Amazing. This book was amazing, I couldn’t put it down. I read the whole thing within two days. Wish I could forget it all and read it again.

Easy to figure out. Very interesting at first, but within 60-79 pages you know the ending. I lost interest after that!

First book of 2022. This is a great book to read! I wanted to start reading again in 2022 so I did some research and started with this one! I am so happy to say it is so good and keeps you on your toes! You think you have everything figured out until you don’t. Twist and turns throughout that make you want to keep reading! So good.

Heart felt read. Full of emotional roller coasters

Wow. Just wow.. This is NOT my normal genre at all. I normally stick to young adult dystopian series...The Hunger Games, Divergent, Matched, the like. But I saw this recommended in a TikTok and I decided to try it because I haven’t read a good book in years. This book was such a breath of fresh air and it is written in such a way that leaves me feeling uneasy after having read it...still full of the plot lines and the mysteries and the characters and the emotion. Please, if haven’t yet, do yourself a favor and read this book!

Great book. Crazy story

Slow getting into. This book wasn’t like the typical books I’m used to reading. The kind that grab your attention from the jump. The first half of the book is spent telling everyone’s story, in a way. I actually almost stopped reading it but had heard so many good things, so I kept on. LISTEN. I am SO glad I did. Once I got to all the twist and turns (about halfway in), the slow first half actually made sense. I am so glad that I didn’t give up on this book. It was literally jaw dropping, as it hits you with the most twisted unexpected ending. Even once you think you’ve got it figured out. If you find yourself wondering if you should read it or if you’re debating on quitting the book because of how slow the book starts.. READ THE BOOK. You won’t regret it

It’s a good book. It was a little hard to get through at first since it was pretty confusing but once u get through more than half of the book it gets pretty interesting.

Beautiful and heart breaking. Well-written and absolutely heart wrenching. The story can almost seem unbelievable at times, but in its most bizarre points, it still finds a way to pull at your soul and scream so loudly you can’t stop thinking about it.

A little slow but good read. Definitely slow to get into & pretty predictable where the story is going from the first 30 pages. Wasn’t surprised by most of the “twists”. but overall a good & interesting read

Poop. This was the best book about a mushroom girl who fell in love with a tree bark boy, they had tree bark mushroom babies. It is also so conflicting because they come from two different natural tribes of the Elfen peoples. I highly recommend this for people who are looking for mature, personal, and poetic wrights. Twists and turns. I love this book. It was such easy reading. Not too descriptive not too floral. I have to keep forcing myself to stop reading it before I read it and it was finished and I would be upset. Some things I sort of figured out and other things were complete surprises. Great book. Want to read more of Lisa Jewell

Painfully predictable. Poor, lazy writing. Every detail is over explained. The ending is obvious from the beginning.

Predictable. The book started out interestingly enough, but soon it plodded along. It wouldn’t take a rocket scientist to figure the stories plot. Jewell is a fine writer for the most part and could certainly write clothing descriptions for a fashion catalog, too.

Then she was Gone. Page turner. I figured it out but needed to see how it ended. Author does a great job keeping one in suspense.

5 stars!!!. This book had me reading for hours. I couldn't put it down because each page made me crave more and more. It was a very heart wrenching story. I cried at the end and it left me thinking about it for days after I had finished. 10/10 recommend.

Great. Loved it. Characters, rhythm and story. Very gripping. At times a tiny touch predictable maybe but still a great read. Hooked me from page one and had to stay up until I finally finished it.

Felt very drawn out. The beginning was hard to get into and then once we hit the middle it felt very drawn out and you want things to speed up. It was boring sometimes and took a while to get to the mystery. The ending made it worth the read.

Interesting storyline that kept me intrigued!. I read this book in about a day (mostly because I’m in quarantine with limited WiFi access, so the next best thing is to read lol). I really enjoyed this book though. The author did a great job telling the story from different points of view. I didn’t quite expect the ending to be what it was, but it made sense in hindsight! I highly recommend this book!

Expect to be bored. The book started interesting and ended interesting. But throughout the middle, it was so boring I thought it was going nowhere. Has almost nothing to do with the missing girl other then the beginning and the end of the book. Twists were not as shocking as I’d expected. Not a book I’d recommend

4 1/2 thrilling, but heartbreaking stars!. Ellie Mach was a 15-year old girl to had it all ... she was smart, was beautiful (inside and out), had a wonderful boyfriend and a loving family. It was all taken away from her one morning ... when she went missing. After Ellie's disappearance, her family falls apart ... her older brother going off to college hardly ever returning home, her older sister becoming a shell of her former self and her parents divorce because her mother cannot get over Ellie being gone. Ten years later, Laurel (Ellie's mother) meets a man that brings out feelings in her that she hasn't had for a long time. But when Laurel meets Floyd's 9-year old daughter, Poppy ... all the feelings from 10 years previous come back because this little girl looks just like Ellie. This is the first book that I have read by Lisa Jewel and WOW ... it took me on an emotional roller coaster ride. Even though I knew that some of the characters are not nice people, I couldn't help but feel sorry for them because they all had their troubles and Ms. Jewel was very good at giving you all sides to the story. I cried and I laughed ... but mostly I sobbed! I'd have to stop reading for awhile just to give my eyes a rest. Ecen now, there are tears still falling while I'm writing this. This is one of those books that will stay with me for a long time, just because of the nature of the story and how it was told.
