Road trip!. A well written and fun sequel.

I am depressed now.. This book gave me depression. I cried and cried for hours. I hope you’re proud of yourself, Rainbow Rowell. I. Hope. You’re. Proud.

Amazing!. I started this first book when I was maybe 12 years old. Read this one as I turned 18. As a young LGBT reader seeing characters such as these, and being written very well with amazing story, was something I really needed growing up. Besides how diverse it is, it gives such a thrilling and engaging storyline to follow

This made Carry On worth it. Honestly, I really disliked Carry On story wise, but I loved the characters, so I was willing to read this book just to enjoy the characters again. But imagine my surprise when this book literally exceeded my every expectation over and over again. It’s much grittier than the previous book relationship wise, but the story is good, great even, and it is clear and understandable. The rules of the world are clear and interesting, which was the main flaw with Carry On. The characters were as wonderful as ever and to read them in a storyline that was actually enjoyable was amazing. I finished the book in one night as I could not put it down. Overall 100% worth the read and even justifies the unfortunate downfalls of Carry On.

It’s good, it’s good, it’s so good. Everything about this book is lovely. From heartache to laughter, everything about this story is tender. I can’t wait to see where these character goes next—hopefully, finally, to happy ending that feels well fought for.

Fun to read. It has an interesting perspective (post happy-ending) and I love (most of) the characters. Some parts seemed pointless/annoying but did factor into a bigger plot (a plot that could’ve been written a bit better). I still found it worth it though, and it did make me a little emotional!!!!!

Couldn’t put it down. This was the perfect second book to the Simon Snow series. It was impossible to put down and was overall super entertaining! Can’t wait for the final book to be released!

Was quite good. I was hoping for a bit more happy romance but it was good hoping for a next book

Baz I swear-. If it’s gonna “end in flames” and Baz is the one who’s practically a pyro—refer to chapter 61—he better not do anything, omg.

Fantastic!!. I was worried that Wayward Son would be a disappointment in the wake of Carry On, but Rainbow Rowell has delivered us another work of absolute genius! At first I was a little wary of how the characters had changed between the books, but this dissolved about twenty-five percent through. They turned out to be even more relatable and endearing than before, as their mangled relationships created another beautiful story. I can’t wait for the next book!!!

Love it!!. I love this book so much even though it’s not what I was expecting. It was adventurous to join Simon, Baz and Penny on this road trip. I really felt the emotions that Simon was going through especially after how Carry On ended. I can totally understand PTSD. What can I say about Baz... HE’S THE BEST!!! And OMG!! His fashion sense is so FANTABULOUS!! Penny will always be my girl!!! She’s brave and yes a little heartbroken but I am secretly hoping that Penny & Shepard will end up together. I especially fell in love with Shepard! Gosh he is a great addition to the group and I can’t wait to read more about him in the 3rd book. Agatha really took me by surprise and I love her for it. Even though this is a Fantasy novel, you can relate to all the characters in this story because the are very realistic. Rainbow Rowell has done it again! She has created an amazing adventure for all of us!!! Xoxo

Great Series. This is a really fun book. And if you loved Carry On, you’ll love this one. That said, Rowell seriously needs some gay male beta readers. Because I can buy magicians, I can buy merwolfs, vampires and dragons, but two post pubescent boys who are into each other dating for over a year and not having naked fun time? Yeah, no. I don’t need to see it or hear it, but if the only time their sex lives come up is to say they ain’t getting any, you need to stop writing boy characters with female hookups about hooking up. Love the books, love the characters, but the author who is making a killing writing about two gay male characters needs to do her research.

So good!. I just finished this book and I am now, not so patiently awaiting the third book. I can’t get enough of this story and these amazing characters!
