Brilliantly sexy!. What lovely and heartfelt dedications for a brilliant author that was lost too soon. You will definitely be missed.  Rest In Peace Veronica Chadwick! This is book 2 in the Moving Violations series and it features Jacob and Sallie.  Six years ago these two had what it takes to survive a lifetime together.  That is until he walked out the door saying he’d be back and he never did. Sallie has been through a lifetimes worth of pain.  She strong most of the time but sometimes seems like she’s on the verge of a silent breakdown.  Jacob is ALPHA to the max!  He is a perfect example of how hard an alpha man can fall for his woman.  Let me just say that this man most definitely knows his way around the bedroom.  SUPER SEXY!!! This story line is fantastic with all the twists and turns.  The mystery and suspense is brilliant and had me on the edge of my seat.  The characters are awesome!  I’m not sure if this series will continue but I hope those Culpepper boys get their stories told.  

Strong, Silent Cowboy. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it. I really don't know how to rate this book off-hand. The story line didn't seem cohesive enough for me. There was a great deal of repetition. Also I was left with some questions and I don't think there will be an answer, unless the organization that is after Jacob comes back in the next novel. I did enjoy this book and was glad to have read it. But there were so many hang-ups with it that some may not enjoy it but then again some may. While it is a part of a series, you don't have to read the prior one to enjoy this one. Also some self-publishing authors may put in spelling and grammatical errors to help prevent privacy, this book had a great deal of errors. There were some sections that I had to re-read them just to figure out the author's intent. While this is a part of a series, you don't have to read the prior one to enjoy this. The first book was written almost 2 years ago. This is a very spicy read so I would only recommend it to someone over the age of 18.

Second one. Second book for me by this sister duo. I’m going to miss them! This is typical Leigh...grouchy,strong and ultimate alpha male! I really enjoyed this story. It was a bit difficult for me to connect with Sallie. Sallie is harboring the ultimate secret! Jacob will do anything for her and he proves it. Lots of action and a good dose of angst. HEA.

4.5 Stars!. First, I just want to say that I was sad to hear about Veronica Chadwick's passing. This series is what introduced me to this co-author. I'm a big fan of Lora Leigh, which is what drew me to this series. Her and Veronica's collaboration was seamless and I've had every intention of checking out more of Veronica's work. My prayers go out to her family. Now for the book, Jacob is everything I've come to love about a Lora Leigh hero. He's very intense, pure alpha dominance, protective and possessive of what he considers his. And Sallie is his. His pursuit of her was a thing of beauty if you are a fan of the alpha hero. That doesn't mean Sallie was some pushover. I really liked that she had self respect and didn't just fall at Jacob's feet. They were a great combination of what I like in my main characters. Even though you learn real quick, I won't give this little tid bit away. Let's just say, Jacob and Sallie's reunion had a bit of twist/theme to it that I do enjoy. It made things more interesting on top of an already interesting plot behind the reason Sallie was running for her life.

Strong, silent cowboy. Wow this book had me and wouldn’t let go. The chemistry between Jacob and sallie is really blazing! The story is full of suspense, mystery and a whole lot of wow romance. Story line holds you and doesn’t let go. Can’t wait for the next book.

I definitely need to read more from these authors! Six years ago, Jake and Kyra meet in Switzerland, spend three glorious days and hot steamy nights together and then Jake disappears. 3 years later, Sallie “Kyra” Hamblen moves to Deer Haven because she is on the run, using fake identification and recognizes Jacob “Jake” Donovan as her guy from 3 yrs ago but he doesn’t recognize her...another 3 yrs pass and still he doesn’t recognize her. Then one night Jacob approaches her, takes her home and now the sparks really fly and so do the dreams for Jacob. It seems he was severely injured 6 years ago and has no memory of a week while is was undercover for the CIA. Suspense, memory loss, hot, steamy romance,secrets and so much more, will Jacob remember what happened 6 years ago, keep Sallie safe and forge ahead to a HEA? Only time will tell.

Loved it. Wow, this story just exploded from the first page right through to the last one. The extreme chemistry between Sallie & Jacob was an intense inferno that consumed them both. The drama & intrigue kept us on the edge of our seat as we watched as Sallie was stalked & terrorized by unknown assailants expecting her to lead them to the man they wanted, a man with no clue who she was due to amnesia from a traumatic brain injury. As we watched Sallie’s life crumble around her, we see Jacob claim her & as his dreams became clearer he realizes that she’s been in his dreams & mind for the last 6 yrs. The struggle to stay alive is real, as is the struggle to not fall in love with Jacob because losing him again might just be the end of Sallie this time. I enjoyed the humour of Jacob’s gram, her sass, grit & love for Jacob was great. As was the teasing friendship of the Culpepper brothers. I’m truly sad this story is done & am looking forward to more in this series. Definitely recommend. Thank you to St. Martin’s Press & Net Galley for allowing me to read this book for an honest review.

Very steamy romance. Sallie has been on the run for 5 years and has spent the last 3 years in Deer Haven ... the town where Jacob lives. Jacob and Sallie (Krya) had a sensual weekend together 6 years ago ... but Jacob doesn't recognize her, so she avoids him and doesn't say a word. But the electricity between them is undeniable and they finally give in to each other. The storyline was good, but I just found that Jacob was so over the top as the alpha-male character. Also, I just didn't understand why Sallie wouldn't have approached him saying they met before. But the sex scenes are hot and heavy ... leaving nothing to the imagination. There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including Sallie’s step father Rance Dougal; Jacob’s grandmother Mary Ann Donovan; ranch manager John Grange; former military or FBI agents turned ranchers Justice, Rancor, and Pride Culpepper; Sallie’s friends Lily and Shay; and office assistant Tara Danner. Here’s hoping Lora has plans for the Culpepper siblings. STRONG, SILENT COWBOY is a story of betrayal, secrets, forgiveness and love. There are a number of issues with the way the story, and history has been presented, including a three year gap where apparently Sallie and Jacob never once crossed paths in a town where everybody knows your name. There is also a bit of disconnect between events, as though the editing removed some important information. I also found issue with the purpose of Justice Culpepper’s attitude with our story line heroine but perhaps it had everything to do with the who, how and why of Sallie’s appearance in Deer Haven, California. The character driven premise is intriguing; the romance is provocative; the characters are energetic, strong minded, charismatic and wounded.

Wow!. The best book I’ve read in a long time! I was captivated from beginning to end.
