A fake engagement in order to commit insurance fraud with the added bonus of getting his family off his back is what Sam is sticking to, but is open to the idea of an actual relationship with Holly. With this being the first book in the series, we also get the added storyline of meeting the Wylde family and the dynamic they bring to the story. While I loved the storyline I also really loved the family dynamic that is the Wylde family and feel that they will be the reason this will be a successful series. While there is a happy ending for the couple, the storyline also provides a realistic ending regarding Holly’s sister and Sam’s brother. I can’t wait to see what happens next! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

A cute and steamy romance.. Holly has been in love with Sam since high school, but he had a girlfriend. This is a quick steamy read that will keep your heart warm. I loved how Holly didn’t let Sam get away with anything. And Sam ... who wouldn’t love a hunk with a heart of gold? Told from dual first person perspectives (Sam and Holly) WYLDE FIRE focuses on the building relationship between Wyldefire Whiskey partner Sam Wylde, and events planner Holly Glen. With the launch of Wyldefire Whiskey just around the corner, and the events planner bailing at the last minute Sam finds himself desperate enough to ask a complete stranger for help but a stranger who is widely respected in the world of events planning. Enter Holly Glen, and the woman with whom Sam would fall in love. Needing a plus-one for his brother’s wedding, a wedding to Sam’s ex-fiance, Sam makes Holly an offer she cannot refuse: an engagement and marriage of convenience that will take the pressure of the wedding off our story line hero. We are introduced to the large and colorful extended Wylde family: brothers Caleb, Sterling, and Grady, and their sister Bethany ; parents Earl and Grace Wylde: uncle Duke Wylde; cousins Noah and Ruby; Nana Willie Lou Wylde and husband Caesar; Wyldefire business partner Caleb Daughtry; Sam’s ex fiancé Jane, and Holly’s friend and partner Amelia Eldridge. The camaraderie between family members is flirty and fun, but at times strained and reluctant. WYLDE FIRE is a $ex filled and imaginative story of family, betrayal and vengeance; lust and love; impulsive, amusing and happily ever after. The premise is entertaining and captivating; the characters are feisty and sassy; the romance is steamy and hot.

Delivers on its promise. As a long time fan of the fake relationship theme, I can happily say that this book delivers on its promise. Even though you know right from the beginning that Sam and Holly will be unable to fight the attraction drawing them together, you still want to know what it will take to finally tip them over the edge into the committed relationship they’re resisting. Most of this book I found to be fun and funny. But like all good roller coaster rides, there are some loops and a few sudden drops. Take that as my warning that you may want to keep the tissues handy for this book’s ending. It's emotionally fraught and I, personally, had a great deal of difficulty reading through the tears. Though it's marketed as a standalone now, I hope the author does return to the Wylde family to tell us more of their stories. I haven't gotten nearly enough out of these characters yet. I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley.
