Awesome addition to the series. I loved everything about this book.

Sizzling. Cain gives a whole new meaning to love thy enemy. Is she trying to set him up or use him to satisfy her need sexually and emotionally? Cain cannot say no to this dark temptress.

So many twists and turns!. I am not going to lie. This book ran the gamut if emotions- happy, angry, tear inducing sad. It was such an emotional book. It starts with an email to the Kings to warn about a plot against them by the others. Cain follows the trail to Noreen, a Dark Fae, who had been working with the others. When you think you know what is going on, something happens. There are so many twists and turns in this book as we are just one book away from the end. The final battle is coming and they all have to be prepared. I am so excited for the last book but have to acknowledge that it is the last book in this series. My only consolation is that I know the author has plans for a separate series. I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of this book.

Questions for all your answers!!!. I’m so excited this series is at its final countdown and we’ll have all the answers we’ve been waiting for! This story between Noreen and Cain had me blindsided. I did not see this stories twist and turns and it kept me on the edge. The story revealed more questions with every answer to our previous questions. So so good, and yet so many big reveals! Absolutely love this series, and this story!

4.5 Stars. I swear, with each book justice is just within our grasp when the author yanks it just out of reach again. It’s frustrating and addictive and I feel like when this series finally ends I be able to breathe again. I’ve enjoyed each pairing in the series. I like how each mate the dragon kings find, have a part to play in the overall story. Noreen is a powerful player that has barely tapped into what she can do. I can’t wait to see what more will come from her. I did feel she got judged too much and I struggled a bit with that. I loved how all-in Cain was. He didn’t hesitate to give Noreen his trust despite her being a dark fae. He was protective and fought for her. He did have a moment I wanted to shake him but overall, he was good for Noreen. I can’t seem to get over how much gets revealed in each book, and yet more questions pop up. I want to know who Rhi’s Dragon King is. I want to know who Con’s mate is. I want to know how the final battle will go down. I have a few predictions. Hopefully I’ll learn if I’m right or wrong soon.

4.5stars-intriguing and emotional. 4.5 stars--FLAME by Donna Grant is the seventeenth full-length instalment in Donna Grant’s contemporary, adult DARK KINGS paranormal/fantasy romance focusing on the Dragon Kings and the women they love. This is navy Dragon Cain, and Dark Fae Noreen’s story line. FLAME should not be read as a stand alone as the current story line continues to follow the ongoing series arc. SOME BACKGROUND: The DARK KINGS is a spinoff from Donna Grant’s DARK WARRIOR series which in turn is a spin off from Donna’s DARK SWORD series- all set in the Highlands of Scotland, including the latest spin off about the Fae executioners known as the REAPERS. The Dragon Kings have a new enemy with the recent appearance of a group known as the Others, but their true identity and membership is currently unknown. As each Dragon King falls in love and finds his mate, King Constantine is pulled further away from the woman he loves, a woman he betrayed thousands of years earlier. Told from several third person perspectives including Noreen and Cain FLAME focuses on the search for the truth, and the identity of the group known as the Others. An anonymous email to the Dreagon, the home of the Dragon Kings, finds Navy dragon Cain volunteering to ferret out the information the sender claims to know. Enter Dark Fae Noreen, a member of the Others, and the woman with whom Cain will fall in love. The premise is intriguing and emotional; the romance is seductive and intense; the characters are spirited, animated and impassioned.

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Another excellent book. Absolutely perfect. If you haven’t read any of Donna Grant’s books start now.

Sooo Good!. I’ve been waiting anxiously for the release of Flame and wondering what adventures Ms Donna had in store for our Dragons. She definitely did not disappoint her loyal fans. Tease us with slight glimpses, taunt us with little tidbits, promise long awaited answers and then leave us still guessing ... but never disappoint. (Well maybe a little). We do get some answers, not enough, and are left with a few more questions. Cain and Noreen are an unlikely couple and their adventures do give us some answers. The story ended too soon and I found myself trying to turn the page looking for the next chapter. In the meantime we all must wait, not so patiently I might add, for the next book in this aggravating, intriguing, spellbinding and seemingly never ending series. August can’t get here soon enough!
