I liked this one more. I still would enjoy more “detail” their “first time”. I’m a romantic at heart I guess. Their I love u’s seemed rush given the 10 ur time span. I’d love to expand on hazels struggle with her team.

Disappointed. Where do I begin? How about the beginning. Why do white authors that write about black people specifically black men always put in the bare minimum effort when describing them? The default is to refer to them as Idris Elba and that’s it. Black men and women are beautiful and they span far beyond Idris Elba and any other stereotypical description of black people. The story was also very lack luster. By 41% Allie and Erik haven’t even talked they simply just thought about each other and their relationship that happened ten years ago. By 50% they still haven’t talked to each other but end up sleeping together. Then they go on like ten years didn’t happen after they slept together. Nothing traumatic or detrimental ended their relationship ten years ago. However, ten years is a long time and people tend to change no matter if you have loved them all that time. So them not even talking and just continuing like nothing happened was weird. I think there was a missed opportunity for Erik to come back into Allie’s life and get to know her and the kids before the whole drama went down. I am disappointed because I’ve read all the other books in this series and enjoyed them even though they had their own flaws. This one to me had too many. The best part of this story were the kids. I liked the characters they just didn’t get a good story.

Second chance romance. I’ll confess that of all the members of the Chicago Blaze, I wasn’t really looking forward to Easy’s story. Man, did this book prove me wrong. It was a beautiful second chance romance with lots of layers. I absolutely adored this book and could not put it down!

Sweet and emotional second chance romance. Easy by Brenda Rothert takes us back to the Chicago Blaze world with Erik’s story and is a second chance sports romance. Seriously, what is there not to love!  Erik and Allie were once very much in love when they were young. But when Allie had to make a choice, she wanted Erik to follow his dreams. They spent a decade apart. Erik never meant to go home, but when his family needs him, he has no choice. Once Allie and Erik are reunited once again, it’s like no time has passed between them. But the obstacles they once faced are still there. Can love win this time around? Erik, known as Easy, was an easy-going and very likable guy. Allie was caring and resilient. Their chemistry was undeniable, but she has responsibilities she takes seriously. Their story was not always easy, but I loved the patience and feelings they shared and were determined to work through. Such a sweet story. Happy reading!

An incredible story!. Easy is the most amazing second chance romance with characters that will tug at your heartstrings! I loved everything about this beautiful story! Just everything! The drama, the family tension, the beautiful friendships ans suspense all made this an incredible book that should be high on your list to read! Easy may be easy on the eyes but since he gets a call to go home to look after his Mom and Aunt, he doesn’t count on how after the many years that have passed to see Allie again and the feelings that have remained dorment, bubble to the surface! Erik is a caring man with a heart of gold! Allie has done her absolute best at caring for the 3 kids! Little does she know that Erik is determined and not wanting to let things go and is also there to support her in difficult times too! This storyline had me captivated from the beginning and I honestly didn’t want it to end! An absolutely amazing addition to one of the best hockey series written!

Ticked all my boxes. Second chance romance at its best and once you add it a great hockey storyline you get the perfect read for all lovers of romance in general as well as sports romance lovers. Erik and Allie broke up when Allie graduated high school but what Erik never knew was she was doing what she thought was best for him, she loved him enough to let him go, to let him follow his career in the NHL without having her and her family commitments. Erik is forced back to his hometown when his mum and aunt both need help do to an accident and as soon as he comes face to face with Allie he realises what he left behind, he realises he still has feelings for his childhood sweetheart..... Allie is now raising her sisters 3 children and life hasn’t been easy so will she be prepared to take a leap of faith and see where fate is going to take her or will she still believe Erik is better off without her and the children she loves so dearly.... I loved everything about this book, I loved Erik and Allie, I loved the kids and their teenage tantrums, I loved Erik’s small family unit but most importantly I loved the feels this book gave me. This is a beautifully written love story that I highly recommend. Great job Ms Rothert.

4 stars. A super sweet second chance romance, this usually isn’t my favourite trope but this one was great, no over the top angst and drama, lots of emotion and chemistry and an intense connection that stayed solid even after an extended period apart. Another great addition to the series.

Outstanding. The sixth book in the Chicago Blaze series and is the second change at love story story of defender Erik Zimmerman aka Easy and the woman he has always been in love with Allie Douglas. It most definitely can be read as a stand alone and it is not necessary to have read the previous books. However, do yourselves a favour if you haven’t read them yet and one click, they are a brilliant read and one of my favourite hockey series ever. Easy is so swoon worthy, his strength and determination and his unwavering love for Allie was beautiful to read about and I was riveted from the first to the last page. Allie’s selflessness in giving up the man she loves to raise her nieces and nephew was inspiring. Brenda Rothert has written a story that you cannot help but become invested in. There were times I laughed and times I cried and on a few occasions I was on the edge of my seat fearing for what was playing out and hoping that all would come good in the end. However throughout it all there was such a feeling of love, hope, strength and determination that I was cheering for these two wonderful people to get the love and family that they both deserve. This is at times an emotional roller coaster of a read as Easy and Allie fight for their happily ever after and as always it was great to see the appearance of some familiar faces, it just adds that additional layer to what was truly a wonderful book to read. I am excited for the next book in the series which is Jonah’s story.
