Good Story, okay writing. The story was good, with a nice end twist I didn’t see coming. I was left wanting it better written, more mature. But it was a descent read.

Crazy twists and turns&an ending unlike another. This book was so enthralling with its mysterious excerpts from an unnamed narrator at times and the subtle hints that lead to what the readers are led to believe they’re going down the right path and figuring it all out finally that’s when they no sooner the books plot will flip twisting them towards an entirely different way leaving you awestruck at the revelation that are learned in the plots twist. The complexities in this marriage, the knowledge about one another and the depths of their history is startling. In this way they’re parallels to and have many similarities between Poppy ‘s parents and their interactions with one another and relationship dynamics. Compelling climatic final moments will leave you shaking your head in utter disbelief and an ending that send you reeling in astonishment!

Okay but not great.. This one just wasn’t my cup of tea. I ended up not reading each chapter fully just to get to the end. The twists at the end were worth getting there and I read the last few chapters in full.

The Serial Killer’s Wife. This is a very well written book. All of the characters are believable yet interesting. There is many twists and turns and I could never have imagined the surprise ending. Read it. You won’t be disappointed!

Loved!!!!!. My Review: Wow, wow, wow!!!!! What an explosive book this was. That ending will stay me with me for a very long time. I’m totally speechless. This was a book you can read in just one sitting and not feel guilty. Every chapter kept you engrossed and wanting more. I loved this one. I don’t even know where to begin with this book without giving too much away. The chapters alternate between Beth and Tom and this kept the book moving very fast. It gave the reader insight to both of the main characters which I loved. Let’s talk characters. At first I wasn’t sure about Beth at all. She portrays herself as a doting wife and mother who has no clue what is going on. As you keep reading though you find out this is not at all who she is. As for her husband Tom, I hated him from the very get go but I’m sure that was planned by the author. He was meant not to be liked and the author did a great job at that. The best part of this book though was that ending. OMG!!!!! I did have somewhat of a clue towards the end of book what might happen but when it did it was still a WOW moment that I will never forget. I loved every minute of that ending. It was the perfect ending in my book. I have read so many great reviews for this book and they were all right when they said how wonderful this book was. I can’t say enough good things about it myself. This was a great book that I would recommend to everyone and anyone who will listen. I will shout it to the moon and back. I’m so happy I got a chance to read it. Between the plot, characters and all the twists in this book it made it an easy and fast read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Finished in less than a day!. This book was highly rated so I thought I’d give it a try, I love anything that’s murder mystery, police, anything along those lines. I was gripped from the first few pages. Such a talented author, I’m definitely going to reread this again and again!

Poorly written. The book got better towards the end but it’s very poorly written, almost as it someone woke up one day and decided to try their hand at becoming an author. It was clear that the husbands dialogue was written by a female and the child’s dialogue was too mature for her age. No likeable or believable characters and I was glad to finish the book and forget about it.

A poor read. This is a clumsy book. Hard to like any of the characters and if the wife said Poppety Poppet one more time I was going to scream. Too boring.

Cool concept but clunky and badly written. The concept of this book is really cool: a loving wife finding out the horrors her husband has committed. I struggled with the book, however. I thought the dialogue in particular was clunky and very formal, and it was a tough read. The twist was fun though.

Great twisty plot. I have devoured all three books by Alice Hunter, The Serial Killer’s Wife drew me in from the off. The plotting is superb with unexpected revelations to keep you turning the pages to the end. Alice Hunter has a great talent for creating a world and drawing you in. If you enjoy this book you’ll definitely enjoy The Serial Killer’s Sister and The Serial Killer’s Daughter.

This is my first book by this author and I found her writing style slightly over descriptive in certain places but I definitely warmed up towards it after the first few chapters. A chilling read. The Serial Killer’s Wife had me at its title and I just knew I was going to be hooked and completely addicted to it right from the get go. I was not wrong! What a thrilling tale this is. Intense, complex, compelling and engrossing are just some words to describe how I feel about it. As I sit down to write more to this review, I am finding it quite hard as I don’t want to give anything away. It is just one of those books that you need to experience for yourself and go in with just the blurb details. What I will say is, it is very clever and has been well plotted out, written and executed with a brilliant twist. This book is the whole package and is another perfect example as to why I love this genre so much. All up a very chilling and entertaining read.
