THIS WAS SO FREAKING GOOD I LOVE IT AND I WILL ALWAYS. OMG I REACTED SO MUCH TO THIS BOOK IT WAS SO GOOD AND I LOBE IT :D I laughed, gasped, and even found myself actually imagining what was happening in the book! It’s so good and I love it so much. Sleeping Beauty meets Romeo and Juliet. A princess newly turned eighteen and made the heir. At her ball she meets a handsome prince whom she likes very much. When they become close both sets of parents warn them to be careful around each other, neither understands why. Until the princess discovers she’s been cursed and the prince’s father is the one who cursed her. Now she has a year before it comes to pass, a year to try and break it. There’s hints of Romeo and Juliet and also Sleeping Beauty in the story but more as an homage. Definitely though a combination of a tragedy and a fairytale story. There are hopes of happily ever after but that is more for future books in the series (there is a cliffhanger ending). I like the tone of the story it hits the right mix of lightness and dark. I also enjoyed the mix of quirky and eccentric characters that compliment the main duo. The story feels both modern and full of fantasy in a good way. Very entertaining read. Awakened Princess. A short fairytale type of story that developed very slowly until the end which was a cliffhanger, not an ending of any sort. I really don’t like poor endings.

Awakened Princess. I haven’t read in a long time and this was a perfect start out book. I also surprisingly found myself lost in the story which is usually a hard thing for me to do. I recommend this book and I’m excited to start the next series following this one.

Excellent start to the series!. Loved the first book, onto the second! Can’t wait!

Enjoyable. A story filled with drama, suspense, intrigue and romance. I enjoyed reading this book. I thought the characters were well crafted and very interesting. Imaginative take on Sleeping Beauty. Sleeping beauty is my all time favourite fairytale, so I was excited to read this spin on it. Laura did not disappoint me with her take on my old favourite thus far and I cannot wait to read the next book!! Sleeping beauty retold. The author is giving us the background information on sleeping beauty. Princess Keira has until her nineteenth birthday to find a way out of her curse. I gave it four stars because there is a lot of missing pieces to this story. Both Prince Philip and Princess Keira are told part of the story but not the full story so there are gaps. However, they do know that they have to steal an item from his father palace to slow down the curse. It was a good story that kept my interest though it went a little slow.
