Great story!. This is a quick but great story! I love reading about Egyptian myths and any retellings of them. I have enjoyed this series by Laura Greenwood. I couldn’t put this story down. I loved reading about Isis and Osiris’s journey to each other. They are already married but are still trying to work things out on how their marriage will be. I’d pass on this one. This book contains a brief rendition of the story of Isis and Osiris. It gives us their journey from merely co rulers to true spouses. There is also a brief telling of the feud between Osiris and his brother Seth. Mostly it is about Isis and her feelings and hopes. This is at best a short story. It’s less than 50 pages. There is so much source material on these two particular beings I just think there could be more to this book. I’d give it a pass.

The Story of Osiris and Isis. This fictional story is part of the Forgotten Gods series from Laura Greenwood who provides clean yet a well written story into this myth of the Egyptian gods. I like her rendition as she starts the book with an explanation of why and how she decided this series. In fact this explanation is in every book beginning. Reading Osiris, the Pharaoh King god and his Queen wife Isis tells of their courtship and falling in love. It does speed to the present of what became of Osiris and why he became King of the Dead in Duat. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Good story, but missing a bit.. I love these quick paranormal romance version of Egyptian myths. Most have a lot of different aspects that come up in the story. This had some of that, but not as much as some of the other books in the series. Overall, I loved how Isis was portrayed and her emotional journey, as well as Osiris's journey. I enjoyed the world building and the secondary characters; however, I would have loved more about the commonly stated part of the tale involving the two brothers. The gap is pretty noticeable if the reader has heard anything about the tale of Isis and Osiris. Not focusing as much on that made it still a good book, just not as great as I was hoping. Isis and Osiris’s story. This is Isis and Osiris’s story. Theirs was not a love match just like the other gods and goddesses. However, they make it a love match. Seth is jealous of his brother and something terrible. It was a very short story that was easy to read and give you a bit more detail about the gods life. I am enjoying these tales.
