Confess by Rob Halford Book Summary
Rob Halford, chanteur du groupe iconique de metal Judas Priest, est un véritable dieu du metal. Élevé dans les terres ouvrières de la Grande-Bretagne, lui et sa musique furent forgés dans le Pays noir, au nord de Birmingham.
Confess, son autobiographie, est une incroyable histoire de rock‘n’roll, un voyage de Walsall la ville où il est né au succès de son groupe, une trajectoire pleine d’embûches : de l’alcoolisme à l’addiction à toutes sortes de drogues, et ses nombreuses garde à vue, de pratiques sexuelles néfastes à de sombres histoires personnelles, puis la rédemption, désintoxication et coming-out… et la découverte de l’amour.
Dans son livre, Rob nous raconte son histoire avec une totale sincérité, beaucoup d’autodérision et un humour british corrosif. Une carrière de 50 ans passée dans le heavy metal, faite de rencontres insolites avec Superman, Andy Warhol, Madonna, Jack Nicholson et la Reine d’Angleterre.

Judas Priest a sorti 20 albums à ce jour, gagné un Grammy Award de la meilleure prestation metal en 2010 pour Dissident Aggressor, et continue les tournées aujourd'hui. Rob Halford vit entre les Midlands au Royaume-Uni et l'Arizona aux États-Unis.
