Very enjoyable. Sweet, good storyline, and good ending

Awesome story. Slap shot is an awesome beginning for a new series. Vaughn Elliot is a professional hockey player for the Lauderdale knights. He meets Juliet by accident, literally. After he hits the puck and goes flying and hits Juliet. It is when he goes and checks on Juliet at the hospital when he feels there may be chemistry between them, or is it guilt? Juliet is engaged and about to get marry. It is after the accident that Juliet starts doubting. I love this story and I can’t wait for book number two. This is a great book to read!

Equal time for the leads - hallelujah!. Not going to name the author, but I’d just finished part of another hockey series and couldn’t bring myself to read another chapter in it. So I bought this book - the only one of Kate’s books that I hadn’t read. What a glorious afternoon of reading! I particularly loved that the families were believable. Their occupations, and it was also nice to see solutions that didn’t take our hero’s millions to fix. The heroine’s business got a nice bump from knowing team families, but that’s reality. Loved that she and her mom ran the numbers! Most of all, adored that the character focus was on the people rather than their wardrobes. And as noted in the headline…Kat gives equal time to her leading men/women. I love that. The men are believably snarky, imperfect, and wonderful. 💗💗💗

Great start to the series!. What an amazing start to Kat Mizera’s new hockey series! “Slap Shot” is a fun, flirty and heartfelt about change and taking a chance on your future. Vaughn and Juliet were such fun characters to get to know and I loved their chemistry. The Lauderdale Knights are the real guys in town. On opening night, Vaughn hits a puck into the stands which ends up injuring a fan. When he goes to visit the fan in the hospital the next day, there he meets Juliet. Juliet takes this incident as a way to get a second chance and follow her own path, not the one her family wants. Vaughn and Juliet have an instant connection that neither was expecting but can’t deny. Vaughn was absolutely amazing and an instant favorite for me. He’s an amazing hockey player. He’s also soft spoken, confident and strong. Vaughn is a great teammate and a friend. Juliet was a breath of fresh air. After her initial injury, she found her backbone and spread her wings. Juliet spent her whole life doing what her family wanted and she put herself last. I loved reading about her finding her confidence and becoming who she was meant to me. I loved all the secondary characters we got to meet and I can’t wait to read their stories when they come out.

Slap shot. I loved this book, I laughed I cried , I laughed until I cried. I didn’t want my time with Vaughn and Juliet to end. What a fun read.

Hot! Hot! Hot!. Once again Kat Mizera did not disappoint us. This is a great read with a happy ever after ending and one amazing hockey team. I can’t wait for the next book!!!

Sweet and pleasant.. Nice little story. Girl learns to take control of what she wants in life. Guy learns he doesn’t have to be alone. Would recommend.

A new team, a new town. A new expansion team has come to Ft. Lauderdale and in their first game, hockey fan Juliet is knocked out by a flying puck. Hockey star Vaughn was the player that hit the puck and in the interest of good public relations, the team asks him to visit the woman that was in the hospital. Instant chemistry but Juliet has amnesia and mistakenly thinks he’s her fiance’. Great story with Juliet having to turn a page in her life — an overbearing Italian family that works together and thinks they know best for her, a lonely hockey player and both of them finding a new way. I loved the characters. Juliet really grew and changed. She took the chance to finally become herself and Vaughn, who was lonely found a family. Ups and downs and a great HEA. Looking forward to more from the Knights.

slap shot. The story is good but very disappointed with the end of story, leaving it up in the air how it ends.

Not the best. Feels like it’s written by a teenager with too many fantasies

A good read. Slap shot was my first read from this author and I certainly enjoyed it. Set in the world of hockey with believable characters. There was a well thought out storyline and cleverly written conversations. It lost a star because I felt a couple of solutions to problems came too easily especially the break in.
