Loved it from start to finish. This novel was the perfect blend of romantic, sexy, funny and sweet. The heroine’s motivations and family complications really resonated with me, and gosh I wish the places were real because the pastries sound utterly divine!
The boy with the bookstore. I enjoyed reading about all the yummy Filipino/French pasties and it made me super hungry. I come from a big ethnic family and I love reading stories that show the same kinds of family dynamics. I normally love an enemies to lovers but I didn’t really get that vibe from this book. She was mostly in love with him the whole time and he was just being a jerk because he doesn’t know how to deal with his feelings. Haha. Dual POV, low-med spice, 18+
