The duke is back. I’m sad this is the last book in the series. They have all been great. This one had murder,mystery, romance and old friends to the rescue. Sophie and Philip had a rough time getting to their happy ever after but it was great seeing them get there!

Great story!. I have read all 5 books and loved them all. The male and female leads were such great characters. Wished I could meet them in real life! Highly recommend the series.

The Duke is Back. I liked this book. The hero, Phillip, is a kind loving gentleman - wounded and broken from his time in the war. However, the heroine, Sophie, is more like an eight year old girl - dramatic, immature and not very smart. It was almost creepy when Phillip made love to her. I continued reading because the story was compelling. Sophie’s character suddenly becomes mature and insightful at the end but it is too late to save the nice ending.

4 Stars!. 4 Stars!! This was such a good book and series! I felt a sense of déjà vu while reading this but I’m not sure I’d read a book like this before. It might be from reading the other books in the series. It can be read as a standalone but the series is great and I’d recommend reading it. The main characters, Phillip and Sophie, were likable and eventually got their HEA ending. I do wish there was an epilogue to wrap up the entire series and a bit more romance but this was still a great read. Lots of intrigue, mystery, murder, whodunnit, long lost lovers, kidnapping, hostages, near death experiences, longing, and plenty of action! I was a little disappointed in Phillip for not pursuing Sophie as much as he should’ve and really would’ve liked an epilogue but I really enjoyed this book and the entire series! *I received this at no charge & I voluntarily left this review.*
