*sorry for spoilers*. Honest opinion: It was a strange read, I sensed something was up between those siblings.. but didn’t expect the ending with Ellie. Honestly I had tears In my eyes and I cannot stand when something bad happens to a child… which is why I gave it a 1 star review. But I did enjoyed the writers style!

Worst book I have ever read…EVER!. I read a lot of psychological thrillers and this has got to be the worst I have ever read. And this author has written other, much better books. But please don’t waste your money on this one, you will be disappointed.

Ending falls flat. The book was a page turner!!! Loved it. Couldn’t stand the protagonist though. But the reason why I gave it 3 stars is because the ending left some things unexplained. I want to read more from this author, but afraid of another poor ending.

Enjoyed!!!!!. My Review: Loved!!!!! I don’t know what it is about this author but I sure do love her books. I’m not sure if it’s her writing style or her story lines but I’m hooked on her. Once I start one of her books I can’t put it down for the life of me so I make sure I have everything done before I even start. Now on to the book. All I have to say is you definitely don’t know what goes on behind closed doors. This title was perfect for this book. This book was so sick and twisted but you didn’t realize how much so until the end of the book. I was so shocked and speechless at that ending. All of it finally made sense. Every single thing clue you were given came in clear view by the end. Kathryn Croft always delivers when it comes to her endings and that is one of reasons I love her so much. I can’t wait to read more of her books. In conclusion, the plot, the characters and all the twists in this book made this book an enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Booring. So glad this was free - got to just over 200 pages and that was more than enough for me. Ever the victim & if she wasn’t in the end, the story was boring. Hope her daughter never got to read this.

Absolutely Terrible. The main character was so weak and it was difficult to find a connection to the story at all. Give it a huge miss!

A nail biting read. “She is just he needs…He is everything she fears…” The Neighbour Upstairs is a very dark and twisted read and quite the departure from the other books that I have read from Croft. The narrative is told in a second person perspective from our lead Olivia, as she sets out to start a new life with her daughter after the breakdown of her marriage. Not long after moving into her new apartment, Olivia meets Michael. Straight away my hackles went up! I wanted to reach into my Kindle to pull her away from him all the while shouting DANGER DANGER! Talk about a toxic relationship. This one is off the charts! The story held my interest throughout. The characters have been well created and play out their roles well. The twists and turns took me to places I didn’t see coming and made for a thrilling nail biting read in the lead up to its climax.
