The Sniper. Great respect for those who serve and who have served in our countries military. For years I’ve known the incredible story of Hathcock. Great to know of another great sniper warrior Mr. Chuck Mawhinney. Book does not provide much detail of his missions just a few daily experiences youth, war and post war. Most not relating to skill as a sniper. Sorry, kind of a slow read for me. But again, Thank you sir for your service.

Come on. Do better. I wanted this book to be better. Don’t waste your money for the price of this book.

Poor telling of a fantastic story.. I saw another one star review and thought, oh this person is super critical. Well, I must be also. It’s a shame that such an accomplished sniper’s story comes across as a high school book report. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad I read the book and learned about the man. The story telling of it doesn’t do him justice. Semper Fi, Chuck!
