Empress. I actually really enjoyed this book. The characters are ruthless in a savage world, this book keeps you guessing

Empress. This story is a great read if u can understand the values and how Karen portrays a world ruled by religion, deceit, and quick wits. As all reviews are Tooendys review should not be taken in so fast, it is a great book if ur into conflicts between powers rather than just magic zap-zapping.

Don't waste your time. Absolutely horrible book. I couldn't get through 1/4 of it without gagging. I really tried to like it but I just found it boring, repetitive and pointless. Even after jumping ahead to see if there was a point to the nonsense, I couldn't keep myself interested. Yes, we get that you're precious and your name is Hekat. How many times do you need to repeat it?

Very dark novel filled with endless thrills. I enjoyed this book very match especially the endless surprises in stores and great character developments however this is a very dark novel and it contains lots of sad, depressing, and gloomy moments. All in all its a great novel. Just bought the other two parts of the trilogy and the summaries look amazing.

Ruthless, Cruel, Savage and Satisfying. I love this book. Super strong female character. It's a harsh cruel story about a nameless slave girl who rises from slavery to become Empress of a cruel land. I enjoyed reading her determination and bloody actions the same way I enjoyed watching Kill Bill.

Empress. Horrible book with no redeeming value. The flawed characters living in a flawed society descend to utter depravity, which also makes one question the character of the author.
