Lousy ending. What happened
Very good book in this series!. This book was very good in bringing together the bond between Leaphorn and Chee in a deeper way. They seem to work from different sides to achieve the same outcome and this had a little Butch Cassidy thrown in to make it more enjoyable! Overall a great read.
Books of the West. I like reading about the American West. I grey up reading my daddy’s Zane Grey books. When I found Tony Hillerman I knew I’d read lots of his books. One of the things I like about his books is the Indian point of view. They are good mysteries that taught me more about fellow Americans. I’ll continue to read them as long as he or his daughter write them.
Toyota Waits. Tony Hillerman. Navajo Tribal Police Officer Jim Chee is badly burned trying to rescue a fellow police trapped in a burning car. On medical leave he is still unofficially investigating the case. LT. Joe Leaphorn is also investigating the case but involving another murder. A suspect named Ashie Pinto is being charged for the murder of the tribal police officer. What follows is a story centering on deceit, recognition and monetary gain. Another excellent read in this series!!
