Says it how it is. Zev did his homework and brings to life the man everyone either loves or hates. Whatever your political opinion you will enjoy this book. Zev does a great job of accurately describing an American political commentary icon.

Great read about a truly amazing and interesting individual.. Reading this makes me appreciate Rush even more as a person, and not just as the best talk show host radio has ever seen. Its great to read a story like his. He's obviously the real deal, true to his core beliefs, and just tells it the way it is with no B.S. Politics aside, we need more people like him in the world that have solid character and morals, and don't kiss a.. to get ahead. Reading this story on how hard he has worked to get to where he is today was inspiring and should be a guide to following ones dreams full steam ahead with passion. He deserves all the success he has achieved, and wish him continued success in the future. And yes, I hope Obama fails too. Imagine if Rush wasn't here to open our eyes tp what this guy is really all about. Scary.

Piece of nothing. Bad Bad Bad Book

Great book. Love this book. Gives evidence to support the man Rush Limbaugh really is. An intelligent, well read and articulate man who uses common sense, to say the least

Interesting & Fair. An interesting and fair look at the life, rise, and career of Rush Limbaugh.

Rush's Voice Shines Through. It is amazing that Zev Chafets was able to get an accurate and mostly unbiased book about Rush published. It is wholly unsurprising that he has received zero media coverage to promote this book. The media silence should be enough to tell you how good this story of the man behind the golden microphone reads. Most Rush fans will find a lot of the material familiar, but the insight into Rush's life and who he is for the other 21 hours a day makes this book worth purchasing.

Worst person in the universe and all the parallel ones too!. Speechless! He never fails to amaze me with the level unadulterated stupidity he owns. And people actually seek him out to listen to him.... willingly! Just terribly disappointing.

Rush rush rush. Isn't he suppose to be in Puerto Rico by now? Wait... Did he find out there's government financed heath care there also?

A man alone. Rush has a way of putting the political landscape in perspective and has the best accuracy with his predictions of anyone in the business. He had the guts to say he wanted Obama to fail and now months later people are waking up and agreeing with Rush. This book is fair and accurate and I'm happy to be able to purchase it from the iBooks store and read it on my iPad.

Entertaining and Captivating. A well-written story of how Rush came to be. Loved it.

Somewhat fair biography given the limits of anyone employed by the NY Times. Here's a great quote from the author that should give everyone a good idea just where the political class of NY publishing stands on the issue of Rush Limbaugh: "I have been in the book-writing business a long time, but I was amazed to discover that almost no New York publisher wanted a book about Rush Limbaugh that didn't have the word "idiot" or "liar" in the title." From that one small yet telling point you can imagine how hard it is for anyone from that culture to write about Rush if their goal is accuracy as well as a lengthy career and full social calendar. Given those boundaries Chafets does a great job at giving the reader a look at Rush Limbaugh that isn't filtered through the producers at MSNBC. Not that his surroundings, or those of the editors, didn't fall through the cracks at times. Chafets mentions that 40 million "citizens" do not have health insurance. The only way anyone can reach the number of 40 million in that calculation is by including tens of millions of illegal aliens. It's subtle but if you think how much definitions matter on that topic it's an important error. I will also note that the author mentions that the ideals of hard work etc promoted by Rush are mainly his father's and based on his experiences and not Rush's. That statement is a bit odd considering that by the time Rush appeared nationally in 1988 he had been working for 20 years. Did Rush learn nothing in over two decades of working in private industry? Outside of those points I believe that this biography should give the average person a VERY different look a Rush versus what is allowed by the editorial board of The NY Times. It should send those sitting in faculty lounges into fits. More importantly the average Rush fan can finish the book without using the word "idiot" or "liar" when referring to the author.

Really?. I don't know what's more amazing, Rush's way of distorting the truth or the single minded hordes that listen to him.I just wish people would read & listen to different views & do some research beyond Rush & Beck. These self grandiose blowhards. I think he's still self medicating. Educate yourself & have a real point of view instead of 30 second sound bytes & hatred. Just saying "all you need is love". I'm a combat vet , so I believe my opinion has been earned

Wow!!! Rush Is Right!!!. I have to say that Rush has made a believer out of me. He has opened my eyes to what the Left in this country are trying to, and have done to it. Thanks Rush for opening my eyes to the Truth.....

Rush Limbaugh An Army of One. Writing about Mr. Limbaugh, with objective, is one of the hardest things to do in an age of politically injected journalism. Mr Chafets treats 'The Most Dangerous Man in America" with respect, a high crime in many latte sipping circles. An Army of One is a quick and joyful read, if you are not shaking your head, throwing your iWhatever and/or channeling the former sports caster with glasses (can't remember his name). The book follows and provides some of the back story on the driving force in politics today. Like it or not Rush rules and sets the agenda for the 24 hour news cycle. Fans will enjoy the Missouri to NYC history, all 25 people with no opinion of RHL will find it interesting and critics will most likely not get that far before they delete the eBook and copy and paste some rant from a message board into this review field. In the end this is a story of following a dream, believing in yourself and using the freedoms of the USA to get all that you want. If your know that passion is the fuel to achievement, and want to feel inspired, buy it, read it, live it and be all you can be in your own Army of One

Lies. This book is unadulterated garbage and lies. Druggie Fat boy probably commissioned it himself. But I reserve my ultimate scorn for Limbaughs fans who can only be driven by ignorance and hate to listen to his swill.

Rush is Public Enemy #1. Book is worse than his lousy show!

Reader never listened to the show. I bought the audio book, and the reader mispronounced things, such as "Ronaldus Maximus". There were others as well, which was disapointing. I thought the book lacked focus, and hopped around too much. It would report something, such as Reagan's letter to Rush, in one section, and then report the same thing in another, as if the reader hadn't read up to that point yet. I was very hungry for the material, much of which was a delight to hear.

Wow you liberals are all the same. You have nothing better to do with your time, so you criticize this book. Zev Chaffits is actully a hardcore Democrat. I'm 15 and have listened to Limbaugh all my life. He is a good man. I applaud Mr Chaffits for doing his own research on rush. This is a great book. F*^** Obama. I hope he fails.
