Postmortem. I have read every book in the Scarpetta series. This book was my first, and by far, my favorite! - It made me want to double check my windows and doors at night before going to bed!

good start to a series. Quick easy read. Mostly entertaining. I found her red herrings a little two red and obvious for me to have considered them seriously. The forensics were well done and interesting and the major characters were fairly well drawn. Overall a good forensic mystery that requires some thinking, but not overly taxing.

Pretty boring. I really don't understand the five star reviews. I've now read a quarter of the book and it is boring me to death. There are to many useless details given and the bla bla about the computer stuff is just a pathetic attempt to be interesting. I don't think I will even finish reading this book, and that has never happened before.
