Amazing!!. I had certainly heard about the shooting of Gabby Giffords on the news in January 2011, but not being a person from Arizona, or even someone who follows politics, I really took no other interest at the time other than the typical "how awful that people do such horrific things in America." It wasn't until I saw one of the interview specials, I think on ABC, that I was truly drawn in to the story of Gabby and her recovery. I had been meaning to buy this book months ago and just now got around to it and I just could not put it down and finished it in 2 short days. I am yearning to hear how Gabby is doing now, over a year after she was shot. She is truly an inspiration and America should be proud to have her serving our country.

Gabby. Awesome book.

Inspirational and full of hope. My son suffered a severe traumatic brain injury. It happened while playing soccer at our neighborhood with his good friends. This book has raised my expectations regarding the recovery of my dear son and has filled me up with hope and strength. I admire the honesty and candidness that Gaby and Mark have shown in this book. They have opened their private life, their suffering and joys, so people like me and my dear son, can look ahead with hope of a bright future. My dear 17 year old son is doing well, improving his language and left side mobility every single day. He is happy and working very hard, like Gaby, to live a fulfilling life. Thanks, again Gaby. Your dedication to your constituents, your true love for people, your comitment to what you belief is right, and your work ethics have deeply touch my heart. P

A roller coaster. Gabby's story is so terribly sad yet amazingly inspiring. Gabby is a true hero. She is a great optimist and a fighter! This is not the end of Gabrielle Giffords!

A must read book!!. Wow! I just finished reading this awesome book. Mr. Kelly, thank you and Gabby so much for writing this book. I cried when I watched the interview on t.v. With Diane Sawyer, and I cried while reading this amazing story. I can't even phantom the emotional roller coaster that this senseless tragedy has put your family through. Thank you again for sharing Gabby's story with all of us, she is a very remarkable,strong woman. She has come so far and I know that she will one day return to what she loves to do and that is to take care of the American people. God bless you, your family and most of all God bless Gabby!!!

Gabby. This book is as much about Mark Kelly as it is about Gabby and he comes across as self-absorbed with a huge ego. I admire and have great compassion for Gabrielle Giffords but her husband's grandiose opinion of himself is a major turnoff.

A true love story. This book is more than just a report of the events that took place in Arizona back on January 8, 2010! This is a story of true, unconditional, unselfish love. And it recounts the perseverance and persistence of Congresswoman Giffords to survive, her love for life and her love for public service. I've always thought astronauts had a different make in their DNAs, but Mark's dedication to his wife is as beautiful as the launch of the space shuttles! Everyone needs to read it!

Gabby: A Story of Courage and Hope. Picked up the book yesterday. A great, inspirational story and well worth the cost. Mark's remarks and his deep love for Gabby stand out and inspire. My best to them both. @AbsolutSpaceGuy

Gabby. Great book!

Awe inspiring!. The phrase " It takes a village" coined by Hilary Clinton, sure does come into play here! Mark and Gabby have an excellent support system around them and God was truly at work here. This was a great read, it had me laughing one minute,then crying the next. It is very inspirational and moving to see such determination, love and perseverance in all the people involved. If only more people in our government felt as deeply for their job and responsibility to their country as Marc and Gabby do we would be in a much better state of affairs. Hopefully, as more people read this wonderful book, they will begin to understand what is truly important in life. More power to you both on the journey ahead. Thanks for the read! Riveting.. I just finished this book and felt compelled to write a review, simply because I am in such awe of everything that has happened in this extraordinary story. Gabrielle Giffords is my hero, and Mark Kelly is an inspiration and a beacon of patience, clarity and compassion. We are so lucky that they decided to share such a personal journey with us. A decision, no doubt, made in part knowing that this book would unite us and help us all to value life and each other. Well done.

An Inspirational story that every American should read.. On January 8th 2011, I was playing golf in Green Valley, Az. When we made the turn from front to back I popped into the grill at my course and learned that Gabby Giffords had just been shot in Tucson, and possibly dead. At first I was in shock, then became very angry that such a good person like Gabby had been taken from us.The cop in me wanted to know more.Every few minutes I was on my IPhone trying to get more info.Finally there was a report that Gabby was still alive and in surgery.I remember thinking to myself that the odds of someone being shot in the head and making it to surgery was very slim, but Gabby defied the odds. Since then she has continued to defy the odds. This is a great story about two great American hero's, Mark Kelly and Gabriel Giffords and how heir faith and love beat the odds.

Gabby. I am speechless as I finish this story. I have Hope and Faith. Gabby is an Amazing Human Being with a gift so few people have. Although the horror behind this tragedy is real, somehow the eloquence by which it has been shared with me is something I will never forget. Mark, God Bless You and the strength by which you share with your wife. No doubt that Gabby will make a full recovery with you by her side. This is a Love Story of 2 very Special People.

Dissapointed. Wanted to like it really did. I believe ms Giffords is an inspiration for so many. The book though is obviously thirds hand through the "as told to" writer and reads that way

Gabby Giffords. This was an excellent book. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. You see, two years ago Labor Day, my youngest son was involved in an accident which resulted in him acquiring a brain injury. So I feel I can relate to how the family can feel. Mark made those feelings seem so real in his writings of Gabby. God has blessed us all, Gabby and Mark included. M. Compton Henderson, KY
