The Sorcerer's Ring Bundle (Books 1,2,3) by Morgan Rice Book Summary

“THE SORCERER’S RING has all the ingredients for an instant success: plots, counterplots, mystery, valiant knights, and blossoming relationships replete with broken hearts, deception and betrayal. It will keep you entertained for hours, and will satisfy all ages. Recommended for the permanent library of all fantasy readers.”
--Books and Movie Reviews, Roberto Mattos

A bundle of the first three books in Morgan Rice’s #1 Bestselling fantasy series THE SORCERER’S RING (A QUEST OF HEROES, A MARCH OF KINGS and A FATE OF DRAGONS). These three bestselling novels are all here in one convenient file. It is a great introduction to the SORCERER’S RING series. Over 200,000 words of reading! It is a great deal, and it also makes the perfect gift!

The series tells the epic tale of the coming of age of Thorgrin, a special 14 year old boy, the least loved of his father, as he strives to become a warrior in the magical Kingdom of the Ring, and as he learns he has powers, and a destiny, he does not understand. An outsider, he must fight for acceptance as he strives to join the King’s elite Legion, and as he falls in love with the king’s 16 year old daughter. Most of all, he must learn who he really is, why his destiny is so important, and why the entire fate of The Ring depends on him.

With its sophisticated world-building and characterization, THE SORCERER’S RING is an epic tale of friends and lovers, of rivals and suitors, of knights and dragons, of intrigues and political machinations, of coming of age, of broken hearts, of deception, ambition and betrayal. It is a tale of honor and courage, of fate and destiny, of sorcery. It is a fantasy that brings us into a world we will never forget, and which will appeal to all ages and genders.

“A spirited fantasy that weaves elements of mystery and intrigue into its story line….For those seeking meaty fantasy adventures, the protagonists, devices, and action provide a vigorous set of encounters that focus well on Thor's evolution from a dreamy child to a young adult facing impossible odds for survival….Only the beginning of what promises to be an epic young adult series.”

loved it!. awesome read!

Remember you PAID for it. I can only assume Morgan Rice was 13 when she wrote these books. If that is true, then they are well written...for a 13 year old. But these are not books for which anyone should feel comfortable charging you. The plot line is contrived. The empire controls all things outside the Ring - but yet a training ground outside the ring is beyond their control. Universals become inconvenient to the story line and are discarded, making for frustrating reading for any thinking teen. Timelines are terribly mismatched. Some journeys take a day, others of the same length take many. One king gets news of his adversaries death before he is even buried (which apparently happens the same day as his death) but the adversaries kingdom is unaware days later. Armies are raised over night. Others fall into decay overnight. Hundred mile ocean journeys occur in the same time span as walks up stairs in a castle. Character development reveals great naïveté. Characters are constantly in the throes of great emotional distress or upheaval. Great angst is had by the lead character about every relationship - and confusion even when intentions are made clear. Love is easy to spot, just feel that incredible pounding in your chest. Someone read too many romance novels. Then there are just simply frustrations like: After a group of boys climb a cliff using a rope. They are "dazed and confused"....by what, exactly? The author throws many stock phrases in to fill space. Cliff hanger endings occur before there is ANY real tension built up...much less a relief of that tension. Take an English class, learn what "denouement" means. Having a real publisher here would help immensely. As it would the incredible amount of typos, spelling errors and grammatical issues. Am I being cruel? Perhaps, if she wrote this as a 13 year old. But remember, they made you pay for this. You deserve to know the truth about how bad it is. I couldn't finish the "third" book (which would be part of the second, if I were the editor) because I got so frustrated. At times I was openly laughing at the foolishness of the plot line. Not worth you money. Might be worth your time if it was free.

Children's Fiction. Let me preface this review by saying these are not horrible books. They're mostly readable, but they have no depth. The characters are one dimensional and clichéd. The plot is contrived. What I mean by this, is that it'll illogical. The peoples' reactions don't quite make sense, and you can tell the obstacles are thrown in for cheap dramatic effect. There is no resonance of realism. There is only stereotypical good guys against a myriad of stereotypical bad guys. Another irritating thing about these books is they have no resolution, no conclusion. A cliffhanger ending is too generous a description, they simply cut off in the middle of the books dramatic climax. There's not even a sentence or two to indicate the end of the book. It's just more cheap tricks to get people to buy the next book. The blurb in the description mentions several excellent authors as comparisons, but there is no comparison. I bought this book with high hopes because of that blurb, but Morgan Rice works lacks exactly what makes those authors special. I really tried to like these books, but by the third one I just couldn't stand it anymore and gave up. Once again, they are not horrible books. They are just depthless. They are fine for beginners, or young adults. The category should be listed as children's fiction, not epic fantasy.

Infantile. Poor character and story development. No depth to the novels. Possibly suited to preteen fiction.

Warning TYPO alert! Still a good easy read. This story is great so far... But I have found many spelling errors and grammatical error! It's frustrating to have to re read passages to make your own mental corrections.. Just a warning! Probably better to get the hard copy of these stories!

Simply magical!. Been looking for a good fantasy/magical series and I finally found it!! These books are easy to read and I found myself quite attached to the characters. I found myself having a hard time putting this book down, I just want to keep on reading and get lost in the characters' story. I love the way Morgan writes and i hope she will keep on writing ...

Aray5386. The Sorcerers Ring series is one of the best i have read thus far however i just finished the 3rd book i believe it is The Feast of Dragons i look forward to finishing this series...

Real let down. The little promotional review mention some really amazing serial authors as comparisons for Morgan Rice and that blurb could not have been a bigger falsehood. Poor character development, horrid pacing and nonsensical story development are the only things that come to mind after having finished these three books, which I immensely regret purchasing. I can't recommend this series at all for anyone looking for a truly immersive read.

Gene. The first three books have been very entertaining and proven to be an exciting read. The story line should be more than able to sustain several books within the series and I look forward to reading on... I give it a three star rating only because the editing and proofing was subpar. Phrases and even paragraphs tend to be redundant at times and there are missing words from time to time that tend to be "unprofessional".

Good story. The story was well written and kept me interested. There were some flaws in the way the author approached certain aspects of the story line such as, ( a 100 day tournament to win a bride) without some reason for a jousting competition to take 100 days seems ridiculous. On top of the fact that the competition was to win a bride, and the competitors were able to choose who in the town they were competing for, so what was the point of competing? I often found myself thinking that the author sounded like a good ole boy male chauvinist, despite being a women. Another disappointment was the way the individual books were left as cliff hangers. It is written like a television series not a novel, i assume that is to sell more books, which is sad and disingenuous in my opinion. Made me think Game Of Thrones for kids. The author also vilified homosexuals, and alcoholics not something i personally appreciated. Im waiting for the authors good versus evil storyline to start openly selling christianity, i hope it doesn't come down to that. Her characters are well written and multifaceted. The story line was basically good and made me want to read more. I think with a good publisher she could be great. As an adult professional who enjoys reading stories for children for the simplicity of pure entertainment, im not sure i would want my children to relate with some of these characters and values.

Love these!!. Where can I buy these books?!? The library didn't have them :(

Great read. Great for the ten age and those young at heart!

Great story, wrong price. When purchasing a bundle or set, it should have a price point lower than if someone was to buy the books separately. There is no additional content in the bundle so why would it be selling for $10 when the books can be bought individually for 9?

The Sorcerers Ring. Good story .......badly written. Won't bother reading the rest of the series

The Sorcerers ring bundle ( books 1,2,3). WOW Absolutely brilliant. Unputdownable. I would give this 10 stars if possible 😃😃
