Amish. BY Accident. Great plot- you become invested in the various characters -"lifestyles and romances in this book

Great Storyline, Bad Proofreading. Accidentally Amish has a good storyline and the twists are within believable boundaries. I found most of the many characters to be decently fleshed out for a book of this length. I loved the comprehensive and well written descriptions of Amish life and as the authors note stated, and I agree, these were very well researched. About halfway through the book there began to be words in the wrong form or that the author had obviously pulled from a thesaurus but had chosen the one that least represented what the author was trying to convey. This combined with basic errors in punctuation, poor sentence structure and glaring continuity errors made it seem as if a very young and or undereducated person was now doing the writing. About three quarters of the way through the book these errors stopped. Was that portion rewritten and never proofread? It doesn’t matter except that it again threw me off the story and I hate bad proofreading. The character Conner was nasty to children and I don’t believe Elisabeth would ever have accepted that in a husband. However, because of his newfound knowledge of certain passages in the Bible Conner changed his mind about not having children, she decided to marry him anyway. This makes no sense. Grrrrr If you can ignore the proofreading and editing problems the book is a good, quick read and I’d recommend it. If these issues bother you, skip it.

Cute but predictable. This was a cute story, and an easy read. A little too predictable and the story switched gears pretty fast.

A lovely read. Definitely a heartwarming book! Excellent for a read that makes you want to keep reading without being overly climactic. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
