Swamp Spirits. Best one yet! The Fortune books keep getting better and better.....hated to see it end. I love the plot twists and mystery. Hurry with the next book, please!!

Finally Back!. This is my first review of a Miss Fortune novel. I’ve read every one in order. The series started great- fun easy reading and developing characters and stories to go along with the “big mystery” in the book. Then they became soooo predictable and formulaic it was hard to even finish a few. Almost like the author was cranking them out with little thought or care. I nearly didn’t read swamp spirits because I was tired of the long string of drab disappointments BUT I had to try. Bingo! De Leon is back to original form with this one. Great cast of characters (not JUST the almost played out threesome). Deeply thought out and multi faceted storyline. Even a new animal that brings more than a cheap laugh to the table! Hope she continues to put forth this level of storytelling for us Sinful fans.

Ready for next book. I very much enjoy the Miss Fortune books. Love the characters , It’s a fun series. I feel disappointed when I’m on the last chapter because I’m not ready for the book to end.

Excellent as always 🙂. Great story. Loves the twists and turns at the end when it kept going when you thought you would be at the end. Always hate when the story is ending and this extended the enjoyment of reading. Thank you Jana for creating such wonderful and likable characters!

This book keeps you on your toes. I love this series of books and I can’t wait until she releases a new one. I laugh so hard at Gertie’s mishaps. She’s like a kid in a candy store that happens to knock down anything remotely close to her. She usually has one thing in her purse that will help them find the killer. This place shows how desperate people can be. Especially when it’s family involved.

Fortune does it again!. Often when a series has gone on as long as this one, things get stale or repetitive. Not the case with this one. I found it funny, charming, familiar, and good enough to keep me reading into the night. Love the series and all the wacky characters that know they are wacky. Will keep buying and re-read often!

The best ever. I needed this now…and this one is The Best! With a surprise at the end!! Don’t miss it!

One of the best in the series!. As soon as I get the email saying that a new book is coming out, I buy it… and finish it in a day! But this book, wow! Just wow! So many twists and turns and the surprise secret revealed at the end? I never saw that coming! I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book when there’s a new sheriff in town.

The great adventures continue. Another great one! Love, love these stories! Funny, interesting, I think I figured it out but then I’m wrong. (I thought for sure it was going to be a sexually transmitted disease that got Lucian,😁). Keep them coming please!

Another great story in the Miss Fortune series!. I fell in love with Fortune, Ida Bell and Gertie in Mississippi Longshot and fall a little deeper with each book in the series. The books never fail to have me laughing out loud and there are always twists and turns you didn’t see coming. If you want a book with a good mystery adventure with a healthy dose of humor then this series is for you.

Rambo. I love reading the Fortune series of books. This is one but it branches out and brings a friend from Fortune’s past into the mystery. There is the usual romance, odd things done by Gertie and plenty of action. Ronald is a good friend and helpful in finding secret cubby holes in the walls snd now we have Rambo, a bloodhound to help. Things are really interesting as the ghost story will get laid to rest and many secrets will be revealed! Enjoy this story as I did and look forward to the next!

Another winner for Jana DeLeon. The most recent Miss Fortune book shows DeLeon’s storytelling at its best! There are so many twists and turns it would surely resemble the Sinful Bayou if it were a body of water. Lots of laughs and suspense until the very last words. Enjoy!

Swamp Spirits. I have read all of Jana’s books. It’s very hard to say which one I like the best. But, this is one of my favorites. Once I start one of her books there is no putting it down. It has to be finished, no matter what needs to be done. Her books are the only books that I read and re read because they are so entertaining. They make me laugh and feel good.

OMG! So good!!!. I love this series. I often have to re-read sections to figure out the clues Fortune picks up - this one is no exception. Fortune is an amazing character with intelligence, skill, intuition, heart, and an adventurous spirit. I’m so excited that Harrison is now being brought into the series on a more permanent basis. I’m sure his proximity to Fortune & her posse will only increase the mayhem & hilarity. Can’t wait for the next one…

Swamp Spirits. Jana Deleon is an excellent author. Her Fortune Redding series is very good. The mysteries are interesting and there is lots of good laughs. It’s always good when there is a new book in the series. I recommend this series if you like a good mystery, no gore and lots of laughs.

Absolutely engaging… love it!. These cozy mystery books by Jana DeLeon are the best I’ve read. I love the intrigue, the “interesting” personalities, the ludicrous situations and the banter between characters.
