Loved everything about this one. If you love second chance, small town romances look no further than Waiting to Play ( Lake Spark Off Season #3. This is Vaughn Madden and Isla Chase’s second chance at love and it’s the perfect addition to this wonderful series. Vaughn was only meant to be helping Isla out through a hurricane when he was playing professional hockey, it was only meant to be one night. Imagine starting a new job , in a new town and coming across the woman you had one night of passion with only to find out she had kept a big secret from you …..Well that’s what happens to Vaughn when he takes the job as GM for the Spinners and ends up in the same town as Isla durning the off season. What follows is a steamy, entertaining, well written story as Vaughn steps up and Isla gives in to her feelings as this couple really get to know each other. I love my visits to Lake Spark and I loved everything about this book. I fell hard and fast for Vaughn and I adored Isla but it was watching them both take a leap of faith that took this book to another level. A wonderful emotional and entertaining read that has just the right mix of banter, heat, angst and love.

Entertaining. Waiting to Play is the third book in the Lake Spark Off Season by Evey Lyon. I was an entertaining, well written story with characters who you cannot help but become invested in. This is Vaughn Madden and Isla Chase’s second chance at love story. All it takes is one night to change the course of a person’s life. Vaughn is shocked when he learns that their night of passion has resulted in a surprise baby. Imagine waking up in Las Vegas to find you have married a woman from your past. That’s the position Connor and Hadley find themselves in and even worse thanks to needing to improve his image, it appears they need to stay married for the foreseeable future. From the first chapter I was drawn into the story that Ms. Lyon and the fireworks that sparked between them added an additional layer. Their journey was rocky at times but I loved everything about this book, I fell hard and fast for both Vaughn and Isla. Their chemistry sizzled, the banter was witty and the romance intense. Waiting to Play is a steamy, witty story that ticked all the boxes for me.
