Loved everything about this one. I love hockey romances and I was excited when I heard Elise Faber has a new series coming out and as soon as Broken Laces ( Eagle Hockey #1) hit my kindle I dived right in. Let me just say Rome Dawson and Chrissy Dubios’s story was everything I expected and so much more. If this book is anything to go by Ms Faber will certainly have a hit series on her hands. I was drawn in from the first few pages and there was no putting down until the final word was read and even then I wanted more. Rome and Chrissy are amazing characters who form a strong bond even when they shouldn’t because once they cross the line there is no going back. But how will her father and his boss and owner of the Eagle Hockey Team take the news…..one click to find out. Broken Laces is a beautifully written love story and the perfect book to start a new series with. It’s one of those books that gives you everything you need but leaves you wanting more, gives you enough insight of the secondary characters without giving their stories away. I loved it!!!!!

Loved it. I was so excited when I heard that Elise Faber had a new series releasing and I could not wait to read Broken Laces. If this book is anything to go by then Ms. Faber has a winning series on her hands. From the first chapter I was hooked. Not only are Rome and Christina (aka Chrissy) wonderful characters but they have such a strong connection that you cannot help but quickly become invested in their story. From hints throughout the story, you know that when Chrissy was 16 something horrendous happened in her life. It was not until later in the book that we heard what happened when she told Rome. How he reacted melted my heart, totally my idea of a book boyfriend. It also explained her father’s over the top need to protect her and keep her safe. This was a beautifully written love story with so much happening it was like peeling back layers of an onion. The secondary characters were as entertaining as Rome and Chrissy, and I cannot wait to see what the author has in store for them.
