*** 4.5 Stars ***. This is book 1 in Nana Malone's new series. Just a warning, this is a cliffhanger. So if you don't like cliffhangers, I suggest you wait until the next book comes out before you read this one. Atticus is a ruthless businessman. Gwen's father has put her in a position of having to sell her company. Oh with a partnership stipulation to keep the company in the family. There are two possibilities. Which one is the lesser of two evils. But when her father throws a monkey wrench into the negotiation, Gwen sacrifices herself to save her sister and her company. Little does Gwen know that her best friend is in love with her and when she makes this deal with Atticus, she has blown his hope of them ever being an item. When he is offered an executive position in London, he has to decide if Gwen will understand he could've saved her and her company or not. Ultimately, he decides she would no and he leaves for London. In the meantime, Atticus is dealing with the stipulations of his grandfather's will and not telling anyone is setting himself up for failure. Enter his father with his threats and his life implodes. Who will be there to pick up the pieces for Atticus and Gwen? What will happen to Gwen's company? Will Gwen learn of Atticus's deception? So many questions need answering in the next book.

I loved this book!. This is one of my go to authors and she did not disappoint. I loved these characters. This was one of those books I couldn’t put down. I loved the chemistry between Atticus and Gwen. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Another Win for the Brown Nipple Challenge. Takeover by Nana Malone was the first book in the new Kings of the Boardroom series. This is a book for the Brown Nipple Challenge. Gwenyth trusted her father with her software company, but he had overextended and decided to save his company by selling off hers. But he wasn’t willing to just sell the company, he insisted that it stayed in the family. Atticus Price wanted Gwenyth’s AI Algorithm and found her fascinating, so when marrying her was a stipulation for the sale, he agreed. Neither intended to fall in love, and Gwen only reluctantly agreed in order to protect her eighteen year old sister being married off and her employees jobs. There are many obstacles to a happy marriage for Atticus and Gwen that they had to face. As usual, this author spun a compelling story with well developed characters who have incredibly hot chemistry. There are a minefield of issues this couple must face and a cliffhanger leaving the reader hanging on the resolution of it all. I was hooked early and maintained interest in the story throughout. I will be tuning in for the next book, Aquisition, and I hope the author doesn’t keep us waiting long. This book was not as light-hearted as previous stories I have reviewed, and it didn’t have the same romantic suspense elements to which I’ve become accustomed. The author is branching out slightly and did so well. If you like billionaire romances with spicy content this book is for you! I am voluntarily writing this honest review after reading an advanced complementary copy of this book thanks to Valentine PR and Sankofa Girl.

Who needs a hero when you can save yourself?. Gwen Becker is not a woman in need of saving. Atticus Price is no prince charming. However, together, Gwen and Atticus a pure combustion! in the Takeover, Nana Malone is introducing a new set of characters in a new world full of technology and cutthroat business deals. Without spoiling the story, Gwen and Atticus come together to save their respective worlds at the expense of themselves. Will they help or hurt each other? I will let you be the judge of that. Meanwhile we are also introduced to some very fascinating secondary characters who are just as intriguing as the main characters. Morgan, Micah, Lance, and Macy to name a few of my favorites. If you are looking for something special and different, this is the book for you!!! I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Mixed feelings about this one. Oh boy, I have mixed feelings about this book. Sometimes I liked Atticus but most of the book I didn’t. Gwen’s father was a useless piece of garbage. Actually I wasn’t that fond of most of the characters except Morgan and Atticus’s brothers. The plot was interesting as well as intriguing while leaving wanting to know what happens next. Great story. A complicated relationship became a beautifully written love story which was engaging, emotional, enjoyable and entertaining. The author created wonderfully complex characters who drew me into their story with ease. Great scenes and creative drama held me captive. The ending was shocking and I can’t wait to read the next book. Great storytelling.

Atticus and Gwen. Fantastic read with Atticus and Gwen. To save her part of the family business and her sister, Gwen agrees to marry Atticus. He will save her family company and has some needs she doesn’t know about. She is reserved and has trauma in her past. She doesn’t want to open her heart but he makes it difficult. Will he protect her or hurt her like most men in her life.

He’s a beast. He’s a beast in and out of the boardroom… Atticus Price is conducting a hostile takeover. Part of the deal is Gwen. She’s the fixer who cleans up everyone’s messes, including her fathers. Hence, she’s the sacrificial lamb in the hostile takeover. But don’t worry. There are sexy benefits. Book one. Recommend.

Great Beginning!. At first I wasn’t sure how I would feel about Atticus but he kind of grows on you and wins you over. I like Gwen. She has a good heart, is very caring, and intelligent. Their story is intriguing, full of twists and secrets that you can’t wait to figure out. I look forward to seeing what happens next.

Entertaining and Passionate!. This is the first book in the Kings of the Boardroom Series, a Billionaire Romance. Atticus and Gwen's story is entertaining, passionate, and engaging. Gwen is beautiful, strong, smart, and caring. Atticus is enigmatic, powerful, and protective. The storyline is filled with secrets, suspense, mystery, and the twists and turns. The supporting characters are great. I enjoyed it! Looking forward to read Acquisition, the next book in the series, to know what happens next!

We are introduced to Gwen’s sister Morgan, and their questionable father James Becker, and his long-suffering wife Clarissa; Atticus’ brother Micah, their mother Jessica, Atticus’ driver Gavin, as well as Gwen’s best friend Lance Lakewood, and a business competitor Bronson Jacobson. The requisite evil has many faces. TAKEOVER is a story of power and control, secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, dysfunctional family dynamics, threats and ultimatums, family and love. The fast paced premise is dark, dramatic and intense-there are plenty of anxious moments throughout; the romance is seductive; the characters are desperate and determined. TAKEOVER ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
