Somewhere in France. I enjoyed a large portion of the book, however I wish that the intimate scenes would have been less focused on.... Instead of describing the love/sex scenes in great detail, perhaps letting the reader's imagination do its work may have kept the genre as a historical drama. I think it cheapened the novel for me, made it read more like a Harlequin than a historical novel. Hence the 3/5 .
