Unorganized and Poorly Written. No real premise. First part of the book had some interesting insight into Apple and the personalities. The rest of the book became a complete hit piece filled with personal opinion with little fact. Pretty sad this individual was employed at WSJ. Maybe there is a reason she no longer works there; obviously needs an editor.

Wow. It's amazing that this book went to print when considering the lack of any substantive evidence to support the many implausible claims. And the author's critical thinking skills? Good lord. When asked what makes Jony Ive "controversial", she responded with "Just as a person...but, you know, just his ego..." What drivel. Is this even a thought?

This book is "doooomed"!. There is not enough room here for my criticism of this $15 Apple is doomed blog/book. Just another attempt to get money from folks with weak sensational and poorly backed up information in most parts. Don't buy!

This book is as hideous as Yukari looks.. She really only has the former wsj credential going for her

Hard to understand.... How far off an author can be… This guy MUST be on the payroll of Samsung or something… Really awful book.

Get a life. I saw the sample of this book and I deleted it after a second or two. Seriously? What garbage. Please find another way to make money cause that's what this book is all about. Go get a real job instead of sitting down and creating lies.

More of the same "doom on Apple" drivel. It's a pity that Ms. Kane resorted to such cheap PR tactics in an effort to sale more books. I used to enjoy her work in the Journal, but this book veers far from offering an objective lens of the current state of Apple. She posits that Apple no longer innovates; well, she must be obtuse or oblivious to the release of the new Mac Pro last year. What about the new iPad Air? It is significantly smaller, 40 % lighter, more powerful, and has increased battery life all at the same time. This is more of the same "doom on Apple" drivel that people have been composing since the late 90s. With Jony Ive and his small team of designers pushing the envelope in materials, methods, and manufacturing, the best years for Apple lie ahead.

As a Fanboy. I only wish there were more insights into the Company. Other than that, I followed the author's logic and I haven't been convinced by Apple that the conclusions drawn aren't far fetched.

Waste of time. I was hoping for some analysis, or some relevant comparisons to sony. This book is a huge waste of time, and shows a lack of understanding for the technology.

Tweaks to data to please the author. Same problem as other media outlet that paint a dark picture to get sales.

Disappointing.. The author is on to something, change the company to Microsoft and resell. Or change to IBM and resell. This book does not add value and insight to the historical record that anyone could have researched. A waste of time to read.

Interesting!. This is definitely an interesting read offering a different perspective. Highly recommend

Haunted Empire. Sorry that I've bought this terrible book. Don't waste your time. Nothing new is written. Very long negative transcript of all things happening at Apple. Boring.
