Great book. It’s fast paced while not rushed and it immerses you in the world of this book and is great for younger kids with higher levels of reading.

Great series to follow Harry Potter. My kids finished Harry Potter and wanted another adventure series. Charlie Bone has filled the void perfectly!

Great first entry in a remarkable series!. Midnight For Charlie Bone delivers with a steady paced, compelling read that has mysterious elements combined with plot twists and interesting view points. The book is great, the only problem I can find is it feels a bit uncomfortable at times. Other than that, if you love fantasy,adventure,and Harry Potter, check out this book if you feel it's your type.

No no no. If you want to read a good book, leave this one on its shelf. The author of this book attempted to try to copy a book that is WORLD FAMOUS, and failed horribly. This book is a rip-off of of Harry Potter, and I advise you to save your money and pass this book by.

Great longer chapter book series. My daughter's librarian calls Charlie Bone 'Harry Potter light'. I don't think that's entirely true. Yes, both series are about a boy with special powers, but I think that in general Charlie Bone gets darker more quickly. That said nobody dies or almost dies, so in that way they're easier for young readers. I struggle finding good series for my first grader who has nearly a fourth grade reading level- Charlie Bone fits that bill. It's reading level is high enough for her without the maturity level required by other series. 'Midnight for Charlie Bone' is a good beginning, drawing the reader in and satisfactorily finishing this episode while leaving the reader excited to read the next installment.

Love it.. I read these as a kid before I even knew what Harry Potter was (and I’m a Harry Potter fan), so I decided to read the series again as a reminiscence. It doesn’t seem fair that a lot of other series get compared to Harry Potter simply for having similar concepts. Just because there’s a boy with special powers doesn’t make a story a Harry Potter copy. The series is as interesting as I remember, the only difference is I read them in a full day (I had nothing to do) and before it took me a couple of weeks. As everyone is comparing these to HP anyways, I have to say, I think I like these better. Just my opinion.
